Weekend drive by

On Thursday, I contacted my kids and asked if they would like to come to our house this week instead of us dropping by their house.  I had bought some frames and had the cousin pictures printed out for them.  They were all game to come over

Krista's girls were out of school on Friday, so they came by then.  (They were hosting a birthday party on Sunday for their cousin at their house on Sunday)  It was so fun to have them over.

Jamie and Jordan's family were able to come on Sunday.  We had fun playing games

and building with Lincoln Logs.

Savannah is growing up so fast and getting so big!!!  It was fun to get to play with her.

I totally forgot to get pictures of Logan and Parker, but they were here too.  Unfortunately, Gabbie has someone in her class at school, that tested positive for Covid so she has to quarantine for 2 weeks, so their family didn't get to come.  We sure missed them.  It was so nice to be together!

Gloria Falls

Jordan called Saturday morning and while we were video chatting, he mentioned that they were going  on a hike that day.  They have hiked to some of the most beautiful spots in Utah this summer with their little family.  I got to go with them in the spring, and then with the quarantine, I haven't gone again.

It was a beautiful day, and I was was tired of not being out and enjoying it, so I invited myself to go along.  We met at Krista's house, since it wasn't far from there, and they invited Sophie to join us.
We had a wonderful time! The falls were sooooo pretty! When we got up to the top, there was this beautiful Blue Bird that just kept flying around.  We loved watching it!

There were TONS of little chipmunks and squirrels.  I brought a bag of peanuts, and the kids had so much fun feeding them.  They were pretty tame and came right up to them.

It was Jordan and Jamie's anniversary, so I volunteered to babysit for them so they could go out and celebrate. Savvy LOVES spaghetti and blueberries!   I'm so glad I got to spend the day with them.

I love paint!

I got out my Halloween Decorations today, it's a little early, but I was ready for a change.  I had a bunch of these orange pumpkins that I really didn't have anywhere for them to go.  I was about to put them in a giant bag and take them to DI.   I tried some on my kitchen table, and didn't love them.  I was talking to Bonnie while I was doing this.  I sent her a picture and she suggested painting them a creamy white.

Since I had nothing better to do with my day, I did it.  (I had 2 of each of these pumpkins)

I decided to put some of the ones I didn't paint in my flower bed with  one of the white ones.

I put 2 on my table and the other one on top of my armoire.  So much better!  Thanks Bonnie.

Today is President Nelson's 96th birthday.  He is such an amazing prophet, so full of life and energy.  I wanted to take a back to school treat around to all my primary kids, and thought it would be fun to combine his birthday with the treat and deliver it on his birthday.  I sent the parents this note:
Today is President Nelson's 96th birthday.  We want to come around and bring a little birthday treat to help celebrate.  Here is a sweet video that was made about him for his birthday.  I thought the kids might enjoy seeing it.  (Then I sent the link to the video, that Robynn had sent to me 😊)

I made and frosted 4 batches of brownies, my house smelled amazing!

Once a month we have delivered something fun to each child in our primary,
we miss them!  It's nice that we only have 24 families, that makes this doable.

A Fun Sunday

Sunday, is always one of my favorite days, but today was especially nice.  We had tried to schedule our weekly drive by visits for Friday or Saturday, but everyone wasn't available either of those days.  Luckily for us, they were all available on Sunday.  I decided it would be nice to visit Grandma and Grandpa Cline as well, so I got busy and made a batch of Cauliflower soup and a tortellini casserole to drop off to them.  We stopped by grandma's house first and were lucky enough to catch Paula there visiting with Grandma.  It was fun to see her too! (she didn't want her picture taken)

I had also made a batch of salsa that morning to take to Jeffrey, so we stopped by to check on how his feet were doing.  (He had surgery on a hammer toe on each foot 2 weeks ago)

Our next stop was to visit with Krista's family.  I made a yummy gooey snack to take to all our kids.
1 cup sugar, 1 cup corn syrup, 1 cup peanut butter,
Bring to a boil then add 5 -  5 1/4 cups corn flakes.  Soooo Good!
Krista was worried that Sophie might have Covid, so she had taken her in to get tested the day before.  Thankfully, she was negative, so I got in a few good hugs with her!!!!

Our next stop was Jamie's house.  Their family is all doing well.  It was so great to see them.
They have been working hard on their yard and it looked beautiful.

Then we stopped by to drop off Grandpa's dinners.  He is doing well too.
He's excited for his sister Joan's 90th birthday party next week.
She's coming down from Washington to celebrate with lots of family who live here.

Luckily, Jordan is only about 10 minutes from Grandpa, so this cute family was our next stop.
Savvy showed us her new crawling skills, and can now pull herself up to their gate, or a box, or whatever she feels like.

Our last stop of the day was to visit Josh's family.  We are so blessed to have all our kids so close!
We started our adventure about 12:30 and got home about 7:00.  Such a nice Sunday.😀
