Light the world

This past week for Light the World, it was focused on Light your Neighborhood.
I had fun making 6 loaves of bread, 8 cheeseballs and crackers, and 15 plates of cookies.  (I did them over a few days.)  I enjoyed thinking of all my wonderful neighbors as I baked.

Cline Grandkids

I sent around a note to get pictures of the great grandkids that I could print off for Grandma Cline.
These are Amber's darling kids with their other grandma

Jamie's family came for a sleepover the other night and decorated some more cookies.
Thanks for the fun idea Robynn!

Marie and Michelle are moving to Idaho

My Aunt Marie is getting ready to sell her house and move to Idaho.  They have stayed with us a couple of times during this process.  This time, Sandy, Dennis, Kevin, Michelle and Marie, stayed with us for almost a week.  I had some fun projects to keep Kevin and Michelle entertained.

Thanksgiving 2018

I can't believe I didn't get even one picture of our Thanksgiving dinner.  We invited Mike's family for an early one, since our kids were heading to the inlaws.  We had 34 people and it was so fun!
(This is the only picture I have of anything to do with Thanksgiving)

Painting Project

A few months ago, we had  beautiful new white quartz countertops  installed in our kitchen.  I have LOVED my kitchen table and chairs, but they were cream colored and the white made them look kinda dingy.  Krista helped me paint everything a bright white.

Sterling happened to be staying with us for a few days, right during the project, so he helped too.

I LOVE the new look!

October trip to Colorado

In October, Mike and I took a trip to Colorado to see the house Paula and Bob are building

They have been working on it for about a year, and hope to finish it in another year or so.  They are doing a ton of work on it themselves.  It's going to be awesome!

Halloween 2018

Halloween was lots of fun again this year.
Krista's girls

Jordan's boys

Jamie's kids, (Oliver actually was a fireman, not sure where his costume was??)

Josh's kids

Fun with grandkids

I don't know if I've mentioned it before, but I LOVE spending time with my grandkids!  I love teaching them to bake and helping them learn to love it like I do
Parker and Logan helped make rolls

and an apple pie for our Sunday dinner

Every other Wednesday, Mike and I get to tend Josh's kids.  Since Jack is the only one not in school, Jamie brings Oliver to help tend Jack.

These two have so much fun together, and I love it when they wear themselves out playing.

I brought a little art project for the kids to do after school. (this was in October)

They did a great job!

1st sleepover with all the boys!

We have had lots of sleepovers with the boys, but never with ALL of the boys at the same time.

Jamie and Jordan were moving into their new house this weekend, so I had asked if we could take their boys while they moved and got settled in.
I thought it would be the perfect time to get our other boys too!

The first night we had a lesson in making pizza.

When I asked how they did, they gave me their version of 2 thumbs up.

They had lots of fun playing together, they built some awesome towers.

They had fun playing dominos with Opi

When we were cleaning out Jeff's house, helping him move, he gave me these two cars for the boys.  They are by far their favorite cars to play with at my house!

These 3 were up by 6:15 ready for breakfast.

They made ghost pancakes.

They were all ready by the time Jack woke up!

After breakfast, we had a little painting project.

I gave them each orange paint and had them paint the pumpkin.  NO WHITE SPOTS!
Then, while the pumpkins dried, gave them black paint to paint the stands.
Then, taped off the stems, and gave them green paint to paint the stems.
(Yes, I'm a little controlling, but I wanted them to turn out cute, and they did!)

I had a baptism that I got to speak at, so Opi was in charge of the kids.  They watched some Halloween movies.  After I got home, we went to JoAnn's and did a fun craft project.

They each decorated a visor, they sure had fun!

Mike dropped me and the big 3 at the park, and took Parker home for a nap.

I'm amazed at how even though there's 2 years difference in Logan  and Oliver and Jack, they aren't that much different in size.  Logan wears a 5T and the other two wear a 4T.

On the way home, Logan noticed a Rapture dinosaur footprint in the sidewalk.

We followed the tracks the whole way home!

What a fun time we had with our goofy boys!  Can't wait for another sleepover!
From the look of my house,

you can tell we had a good time!
