Lemonade for sale, $1.00

Jamie and Emily just bought a house this week, so they are trying to get theirs ready to put up for sale.  They had a huge painting project they needed some help with, and so I offered to help.  They thought Jack might keep Oliver entertained, so he came to play.  The boys wanted to sell lemonade. Jamie  built Kelsi this cute stand a few years ago and thought this might keep them busy while we were painting.  He rolled it down the hill behind their house, on a street that got a little more traffice than the one in front of their house.

They ended up making over $30.  My favorite was when I noticed they had a couple of $5 bills and a $10 bill and asked them if they knew how to give them the right change.  Jack got a funny look on his face and said that one lady asked for her change and he said she could just have another cup of lemonade.  The lady that gave them the $10, didn't even ask for change.  Such funny boys and such nice people.

Sleepover with the Littles

It has been a long time since we have had these cute girls for a sleepover.  They absolutely love being together and love being together at our house.  They are getting busier all the time with games, friends, birthday parties etc. so it's tricky to find a time they can all come.

They LOVE Leatherby's, so after dinner, we walked over for an ice cream cone.  They were delicious!
They were wishing they were old enough to work there!

It's already 90 degrees here, so we filled up my pool and they had fun doing
water balloons and cooling off.

They enjoy playing games, and then watched a movie before bed.

The next day we went to a fun water park.  The water is the best place to be in this kind of weather!

These are such fun little girls!

Our trip to San Diego

On June 13th, Lani is turning 60.  For her birthday, she wanted to do something really fun.

She decided a trip to San Diego was what she wanted to do.  She invited Krista's family to come along.  Matt couldn't get off work, so she invited me to join them.

We flew, so it only took 1 1/2 hours.  We arrived at the airport and rented a van.  Krista was our designated driver and she did a great job. This is a picture of the girls at the airport.

The first day we did a little exploring and ended up at the pool and hot tub.

It was the biggest hot tub I've ever seen, and the pool was huge too  This is about 1/3 of the pool.

The next day we went to the San Diego temple and Aida and Hailey did baptisms for the dead.
It was Aida's first time, and Hailey had gone there for her first time too.
It is soooooo BEAUTIFUL!

Several nights, the resort did S'mores on the beach.  They provided the campfire, and a kit which had all the ingredients to make them. So fun and yummy!

We got to take a ride on a ferry boat and see some fun sights.

The Bahia resort had it's own private beach with all these fun Cabana chairs.
It wasn't really warm enough to swim, so Sophie was the only one that really got in the water.  The rest of us brought books and read.

Sophie made friends with several ducks and loved feeding them crackers.

Saturday, we took a walk on the boardwalk and loved checking out all the shops.
The girls and I got a warm sweatshirt to keep us cozy.

On Sunday, we watched my ward's Sacrament Meeting and then went to the Mormon Battalion visitors center.  It was sooooo fun!

The girls had a great time panning for gold.
The sister missionaries were adorable, and we decided that's where we want Hailey to serve.

We could see this fun amusement park from our hotel.  On Monday, we went over and checked it out.  Hailey and Aida were brave enough to ride the scarey roller coaster.

Sophie and Aida were a little nervous, so they chose the bumper cars instead.
To get from our room to the pool, we got to take a very short walk on a path through the jungle.
There were the most beautiful flowers growing everywhere! We went to lots of yummy restaurants, enjoyed the pool, hot tub and gym every day.  Hailey ran on the tread mill and I pretended to exercise.  Before we knew it, it was time to pack our bags and head home. Thanks Lani for turning 60 and planning this fun way for us to celebrate!
