Fun with Dad

On Tues. I was heading down to Emily's to get my hair cut and colored.  I stopped by dad's to say hi on the way down.  I told him what I was doing, and he said he needed a haircut so he came along with me.   I picked up Sophie so she could play with Kelsi and off we went.  We watched the kids while Emily went to the Dr.  We took them to the park to play for a while.Dad pushed these two in the double stroller.

He sat on the lawn and watched them play on the monkey bars.

These two are getting so big!!

Cute Oliver loved climbing the steps

Kelsi

Before naptime, Dad read stories to Oliver. The Little Blue Truck. When he finished, Oliver kept going and bringing more books to dad.

While Oliver napped, we got haircuts.

On Thurs. we got to go out to lunch with our good friends Candi and Bruce Brown.  (Mike was our photographer)

On Friday, we got to go visit the newest member of our family, Calvin Eric Birks  He was born on Aug. 25 and weighed 8 lbs 14 oz and was 20 inches long.  He is adorable!

I think this makes #30 great grandbaby if I am counting right.

Jordan's family come for a visit

One of Jamie's cousins got married Aug. 19th in the beautiful new Provo City Center temple, so they decided to make a quick trip to attend the wedding.  They left home at noon on Wed and arrived around 1:00 in the morning.  Logan was the first one up and was very excited to play with the new sand table we had bought while they were gone.

He remembered about our Lite Brites and we had fun playing with those until his family woke up.

He was a big help making pancakes for everyone!

Parker was a GREAT traveler!

Aida came over to play and wanted to go to my friends beautiful play house.  They look like ma and pa sitting out on the front porch.

Logan loved playing with the little kitchen and making food for Aida.

There is a fun loft upstairs with lots of stuffed animals.

That evening, Josh's kids came over to play.

Logan and Gabbie can make this go really fast all by themselves.

They were great little partners.

Libbie was a big help with Parker

Jack wanted to help too!

I volunteered for Parker duty in the night, so he slept upstairs.  I LOVED the snuggle time in the middle of the night.  He is such a good baby, he eats REALLY FAST and then goes right back to sleep.

I LOVED getting to go with them to get family pictures taken.  Logan has always been awesome at smiling for pictures, and I think Parker is going to be awesome too!

He loves his brother soooo much!

Such cute boys!

Such a cute family!

Parker was a star for his pictures!

I love this cute boy!

On our way home we stopped to say hi to Grandma Cline and let her meet Parker #19 great grandchild.

Logan is our only grandchild that ADORES Olivia.

We met all our kids and grandkids at Josh's house for snacks and fun!!!

The two great grandpas and Lani joined us there.

After playing at Josh's for a while, we went to a park and splash pad near their house and had a great time visiting and playing in the water.

While Jordan and Jamie were packing up, Logan and I took a ride around the neighborhood,  I think by the next time he comes, he might be too big for this fun little car that he LOVES!  We will have to have him push Jack and Oliver in it.  We had a great visit with them and will see them in 2 weeks for Parker's blessing.

A surprise visit from Mark and Jayna

Sunday night, we were just finishing up dinner when the phone rang.  It was Mark, he and Jayna were on their way to Oregon to visit her mom.  They were flying the plane they just bought, and got off to a late start, so they were wondering if they could spend the night at our house.

We picked them up at the little airport in Kearns and had a great visit with them.
They have not only bought an airplane, but an airport!  They are in for an adventure!

Sewing with my granddaughters

I had another fun sewing day, this time with Hailey and Aida.

These two both did a great job sewing,  I love that all the girls LOVE to sew!

Katie and Libbie came over for sewing lessons last week.

They both have great sewing skills too!

Molly and Abbie were the first to make the aprons for their dolls.

It is so much fun to sew with granddaughters!

Here they all are with the finished product!
