One year ago today......

One year ago today, I said my final goodbye to my sweet dad.
He was such an incredible man and I miss him every day.  I learned so much from him and hope that I can live up to the example he set for me.

He definitely went out in style!

I sure love you dad!!!

Our trip to Tucson Arizona

This past week we were able to spend in Tucson Arizona.  We spent an afternoon at the Saguaro national park.  I have NEVER seen sooooo many cactus!

Tuesday we went to the University of Arizona and saw the Ansel Adams photography exhibit.

On Wednesday, We went to the beautiful new Tucson Temple.
(Unfortunately, our photographer cut off the Angel Moroni on the top of the dome)

After the temple, we went to Mi Niditos, a DELICIOUS Mexican restaurant recommended by a friend of ours that used to live in Tucson.  There is always a long wait, but so worth it!!!!

That night we went to an Open Studio evening at a metal works place.
They had lots of cool metal sculptures.

On of my favorite stops, was this cute young gal who did incredible oil paintings on pennies!

The weather was wonderful and they had a little funky band playing some tunes for us to enjoy.

On Thursday, we took a bus tour of the beautiful Sabino Canyon.

Bonnie told us about a place, El Guero Canelo, where you can get the most amazing Sonoran dogs.
Under all this deliciousness, there are 2 hot dogs.  The bun is the softest we had ever tasted.  Yumm!
Before we knew it, it was time to hop on our tiny little plane and head back to Rainy Cool Utah.
So glad we were able to get away and enjoy the nice warm weather!
