6 Long Years

June 26th, was Mom's Heaven Day.  It's been 6 LONG years since she left us.
I miss her!

To remember her, Cute Robynn, came up with some fun ideas.

All of us girls did #1

#2. We stopped at McDonalds and bought gift cards so the kids could get Mom's favorite lunch,
a Happy Meal from McDonalds

#3.  Mike and I googled Ken Jennings from Jeopardy, and watched several of his winning shows and several interviews that he has given, in the last few years.

#7.  I made Rice Krispie teddy bears and delivered them to all our kids and grandkids.

I appreciate Robynn for thinking of fun ways for us to remember Mom.

Savannah Nicole's Blessing

Today was this precious little girls blessing day.  She is 5 months old already.  They were waiting for a time when Jamie's parents could come to the blessing, and because of the Covid Virus,
it got put off even longer than expected.

Jamie had everything sooooo nice! She had a yummy dinner after the blessing.
She made a beautiful cake, which Savvy would have loved to have taken a bit of.

She served delicious chicken croissants, fruit, veggies, pasta salad and chips.

Because of the rotten virus, the only people that could come, were their little family

Mike and I with this sweet family\

and Jamie's Mom and Dad

Gratefully, we were able to Zoom with our kids so they could watch it on their computers.
Jordan gave Savvy the sweetest blessing,  She is the nicest little baby, we LOVE her so much!

Planting flowers

The last few years, my flowers have not done great.  This year, while planting them, I broke 2 hand shovels because the soil was sooooo hard.  I finally got them all planted, and was visiting with one of my neighbors, who was just planting her flowers.  She said every year they add a ton of new soil to their flower garden because ours is so hard.  Her flowers always look awesome.  It dawned on me that the reason my flowers weren't doing well is because the roots couldn't grow in cement.  I mentioned it to my friend Carolyn while we were walking the next day, and she offered to take her truck and go with me to get a load of garden soil.  I took her up on the offer and pulled out all my flowers, tilled in the new dirt and replanted my flowers.

I think they really like the new dirt!

Krista's painting

Krista and I went shopping at Gardner Village a few weeks ago and found this AMAZING huge  frame that used to have a mirror in it.  It was about 3 feet by 6 feet.  It had been broken, so they were selling the frame for 1/5 of the price.  It was still $140, but we knew she would never find anything that huge for less money.  She had been wanting something to go on the wall heading up her stairs.  She decided to paint a picture to put in the frame.  She came over to our house with an idea, and Mike helped her make it happen.
Day 1

Day 2
It turned out SOOOOOO awesome!  Can't wait to see it framed and hanging.
