Fun with the Birks twins

A couple of weeks ago, my cute nephew Chip and his wife Elycia added this adorable little baby Calvin to their family.  Elycia has not been feeling great since she got home from the hospital, and ended up back in the hospital for almost a week.

On our way home from St. George, I thought it would be nice to stop by their house and see how she was doing.  We were able to talk her into letting us take their 3 year old twins home for a sleepover.
They fell asleep on their way home.

They had lots of fun playing in our play room, they both really liked the musical instruments.

I think they may be in a band someday.

They rode bikes for hours!!!

They went to bed great in the sleepover room.

The next morning they were up by 6:45 wanting to play!

For breakfast we made elephant, giraffe and monkey waffles.

Thanks Kathy for the fun waffle iron you gave us years ago when we had our first grandkids.

Devon helped make the OJ

They LOVED swinging in the baby swings, they laughed and laughed!

Devon helped make homemade mac and cheese for lunch.

 Yummy!

He wanted green yogurt, so we mixed blue and yellow in vanilla yogurt,

Army green, he was thrilled and ate it all gone. (YUCK)

Then Paige wanted to make purple out of her pink so she added blue.

They were such fun kids we kept them another night and then dropped them off at their aunt Gail's house,  I sure hope their mommy gets feeling better real soon!

Beautiful St. George

We invited dad to go to the blessing with us, but he didn't really want to ride that far, since it's about a 12 hour drive.  Luckily, he had just met Parker and seen Jordan's family 2 weeks before. He did however, decide to hitch a ride with us to St. George and stay in his condo for the weekend.

When we got there, we put out mom's fall decorations.

We had breakfast on the patio the next morning and trimmed dad's flowering hedge. We filled a garbage can to the brim and overflowing.

Then we took him to our favorite new place in St. George, Pioneer Park, it is only a few minutes from his condo.

It is so beautiful there.

We hadn't gone to Arizona through St. George before and really enjoyed the drive.
