Pray for Ukraine

With the awful war going on in Ukraine, we have been praying for the people there.

I've been wanting to do more than just pray for them.  Our neighborhood decided to do hygiene kits to send over there.  I invited the Little's to go shopping with me and get supplies to do some.  Unfortunately, Kelsi had a daddy daughter date at her school Friday night and a birthday party Saturday, so she couldn't come..  They needed to have them turned in by Saturday, so they could get them to the organization that was taking them over.  I decided to just have Gabbie and Sophie help with them.  They went shopping with me to get the supplies.

They were so cute, they wanted to color coordinate the washcloth, shampoo and toothbrush.

We were able to do 24 kits that had a toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, a comb, shampoo, and a washcloth.  They were such a big help and we spent a lot of time talking about how hard it must be for those people.  We hope these kits are helpful.

The girls made cinnamon rolls to take around to some of my neighbors, and for their families.
They were DELICIOUS!

Robynn's granddaughter Adelaide, was selling some pottery she made, in Provo at a kids fair.  She made 65 pieces and sold out.  She is amazing!  She won the prize for the most enthusiastic and received a $50 check.  Way to go  Adelaide!

Ric's car show

Last weekend my brother Ric had a car show in Murray.  He was busy talking to everyone who came and had questions about his super cool cars.  Chip, Taylor and Devin came.

Devin was a little cold and  so I was able to talk him into coming to my house
Jordan's kids were coming to play, so he had a fun time playing with them.

They don't know each other very well, but they sure had a great time.

New furniture, Finally!

Back in September, I decided it was time for some new furniture.

Krista and I went shopping and found some couches and chairs that we really liked.  Unfortunately, with COVID, they were on back order and said it might be a while.  After 5 months, the couches finally came, and a few weeks later, we got one of the chairs, but the other one is going to be another month or so.  I LOVE the couches and chair, and was able to find a rug that I love as well.   I used my coffee table and end table from downstairs and moved my upstairs tables downstairs.

With the new furniture, I needed a new rug for my kitchen too.  I had the hardest time finding one.  I think I ordered 7 of them, and found a few in the stores that I brought home to try as well.  I finally found one that is a keeper!

I can't pass up a bargain!

I'm fully aware, that it is kind of a sickness.  I just can't pass up a bargain!

A store by me had most of their fun cereal on sale for $1.49 a box, and even though Mike and I don't eat it, I felt the need to buy some, cuz it was such a bargain.  I sent the add to my kids, and they were happy to accommodate me so I could get my bargain fix.  😂

I wasn't the only grandparent there buying cereal for their grandkids.
(These two cute ones reminded me of mom and dad💔)

Yesterday, I was at this funny Mexican grocery store and they had strawberries for .99.  Whaaaat???  I didn't do any jam last year because strawberries were so expensive.  Again, not being able to pass up a bargain, I called my kids and we ended up buying 7 flats, (56 baskets) of strawberries.  It was kinda crazy. (I was the only one buying them in mass quantities)

Krista, Hailey and Sophie came over and we made 20 pints of jam for Krista and some for me.

Granddaughters are so fun!

Sophie has been having some health issues, and has had a hard time wanting to go to school.  I made her a promise, if she would go to school every day for a week ON TIME, she could have a sleepover at my house.  She did great, so she got to sleepover.  She wanted breakfast for dinner and so I taught her how to make crepes.  Of course, she made a kitty crepe!

We played at the park. She is such a fun little girl.  We played lots of games, watched a movie and she made homemade macaroni and cheese for lunch.  The next morning she wanted to go on my walk with me.  We walked to Walmart and did a little grocery shopping.

On Friday, I had nothing to do, so I called Jamie and asked if I could come and play with Savannah.  She was so sweet and said that would be great.  She had some grocery shopping to do, and was ok to not have Savvy tag along.  I called Carissa on my way there and asked if we could stop by and play with her girls for a few minutes.  They live only a couple of minutes from Jordan and Jamie, but because of stupid Covid, and busy schedules, they had never even met Savvy. Thea and Savvy played so cute together.Thea is 14 months OLDER than Savvy, but Savvy is way taller than her.
