Fun in the snow

Saturday morning, about 7:30, Jamie sent out a text wondering if anyone was up for a day of sledding.
By 9:30, we were all on our way up to the canyons.

Because of the crazy winter we've had, we have NOT had enough snow to do this.

The mountains had received a little this week, so we were hoping if we went to Mountain Dell golf course up Parley's Canyon, there might be enough to have some fun.

The whole way up, I kept thinking, there's not going to be enough,
but just as we got to the golf course, I could see lots of  snow.

The kids had a great time sledding and making snow forts.

I'm so glad Jamie called and we were able to spend the day together!

A CHILLY trip to the Zoo

On Saturday, Jordan called and invited us to join them on Monday, Martin Luther King Day at the zoo.
It has been cold, but we figured if we bundled up, we could have a good time.

Little did we know, it was going to snow!
When we first got there, it was snowing very lightly.

By the time we left, it was pretty much a blizzard,
but we still had fun with this cute family.

Stay warm!

We have 2 sweet ladies in our ward who made all these cute hats for our primary kids.

Each month we visit the kids and take them something fun.
This month we took them the hats and they were very excited about them.

I took these pictures to send to the ladies who made them.

Such cute kids!

Sophie gets baptized and Savannah turns 1

December 30,2020 was indeed a very special day.
It was Sophie's 8th birthday, and she was able to get baptized  right on her birthday.

Only 10 people were allowed to come because of Covid, and we had to wear masks.
Lucikly, Mike and I were 2 of the 10.

Krista wrote the sweetest thing about her that describes her perfectly!
To know Sophie is to love her, she is pure joy!  She has a fun sense of humor and loves to make people laugh.  She is thoughtful beyond her years, always trying to help others feel good.  She loves cats with a passion.  She's creative and full of fun.  We're so glad she's in our family.

Our sweet Savannah turned one on Dec. 31, 2020.
We were all invited for doughnuts and hot chocolate to help celebrate.

Jamie made her an adorable doughnut cake that she enjoyed taking the doughnuts off of instead of just diving into it.  She made a cute poster about Savvy too.

Matt brought his propane heater to help us stay cozy and warm.

We were grateful for masks today, since it was pretty chilly!

We had a great time playing in the snow and making snowmen.

It was so fun to have ALL of our family there to help celebrate this little angels birthday!
