Gabbie awake pictures!

This is the first time I have seen this adorable 3 week old tiny girl that she has been awake long enough to get a picture of her.  I was able to get some pretty cute pictures.

Here is another shot of her, it was so fun to see her awake.

Everyone came to our house for dinner, the girls loved getting to hold her

She and Hailey both looking right at the camera, good job Gabbie

She was pretty good, but got a little tired of the photo shoot.

Katie is such a cute big sister

Even Abbie wanted to hold her

Abbie and Molly had a sleepover at our house last night.  Jamie and Emily had a soccer game, so we met them at mom and dad's house after Emily cut mom's hair and kept them until dinner tonight.  These two little girls were a great help getting dinner ready.  They cut the carrots and....

the bananas and strawberries for the jello, and the potatoes for the mashed potatoes.  I couldn't have done it without them. Thanks girls for being so sweet to help!

Easter Dinner

We celebrated Easter on Saturday with our family
We did a treasure hunt for the girls, and in their treasure bag, was a cute spring outfit
and some other fun treasures.  We got all most all of them smiling this year.

We had ham sandwiches, yummy salads, chips, cake pops and Easter cookies for dessert.
Jamie taught me how to make cake pops and Krista made the yummy cookies.

Skyler and Kara came to dinner, Skyler is growing his hair and beard for a movie he is in.  AWESOME!

Jamie and Emily had to leave a little early to head to a soccer game

Libbie and Katie meet Gabbie

Katie and Libbie have had colds, and had to wait an extra day to see Gabbie.

They are going to be wonderful big sisters.

The whole family

Katie was so thrilled to be able to hold Gabbie

Bye bye Gabbie, can't wait until tomorrow when you come home.

Gabbie is here!!!

April 6th has always been a great day, but it just got even better.  Our sweet little Gabbie was born at
4:00 pm weighing 8 lbs and 20 inches long with lots of very dark hair!!!  She is absolutely adorable!
Here she is only 2 hours old after her first bath.

I got to go over and meet her and she is even more beautiful in real life.

We have never had a baby with this much dark hair, it is so fun

What darling parents, it's no wonder she is so cute!!!
Merijane looked so beautiful, no one would have believed she has just given birth.

Transfer day

Tuesday night, Elder Aguliar got a call that he was being transferred.  We were not surprised, since he has been here 7 1/2 months, but we were sad to see him go.  He is such a sweet elder.

At 10:00 Wednesday morning, Elder Signs found out that he was being transferred as well.   He had to hurry and pack everything in the house, since we were now going to have English speaking elders instead of Spanish speaking, so all their Books of Mormons and everything in Spanish had to go.

We got 2 new elders, Elder Ortigoza from Columbia, but recently moved to Canada and Elder Hall from Florida, but recently moved to Washington state.  They seem like they will be awesome elders too!

Jamie's cake pops

One of the things that was on my list to do while Jamie and Jordan were here was to have Jamie teach me to make cake pops.  She has done some darling ones, and I was excited to learn how to do them.

First thing you do is bake a cake and let it cool completely, then, break it all up and put it in your mixer.

With the flat beater, mix it until it is in tiny little crumbs

Add about 2 - 3 heaping tablespoons of frosting and mix well

Shape into balls and dip the end of the succor stick in melted chocolate and stick about 1/2 way in

Put in your freezer for 15 minutes

Melt your chocolate in a mug

Dip all the way in covering the end of the stick that is stuck in the cake

Tilting the stick so the chocolate will run off, tap your wrist so it shakes the chocolate off

Cover immediately in sprinkles

I even did it and made some pretty adorable cake pops!

You place them in styrafoam so they don't tip over

Jamie and Jordan enjoy going and picking strawberries in Georgia, and wanted to know how to make jam.
While the pops were cooling in the freezer, we made a batch of strawberry freezer jam, ya, we are pretty AMAZING!!!!!
