Dinners with the Thiot's

I heard that Ricky and Charlie's family were going to be in town for a few days.  I contacted them and invited them to come to dinner at my house so we could see them.  I told them I would get as many of my kids as were available to join us.  They got back to me and invited ALL of us to come to Pierce's for dinner.  He was going to grill his AMAZING burgers.  We brought salads, fruit and desserts and had a delicious dinner.  I brought my tables, chairs, and shade, and with Pierce's shade tent, we had enough shade to have a wonderful cool evening!

Jen, Charlie's darling wife. brought this fun game,  and kept lots of the bigger kids entertained .

and of course, Pierce's pickle ball court, kept the others entertained.

The fun didn't end Sunday night.  Monday, Jamie and Emily invited everyone to go to their neighborhood pool for a pool party.  When we arrived, they had just made everyone get out because someone had pooped in the pool.  YUCK!  Change of plans, we headed to a super fun water park not far from Josh's house.   The kids had a great time.

It was 100 degrees out, but we were lucky enough to get a lovely pavilion, where we could visit and keep cool.  We had pizza for dinner, yummmm!

This has to be my favorite picture, Jackson and Oliver.

FINALLY, a Big's sleepover

It has been forever, since we have had these cute girls for a sleepover!
They have been so busy with youth conferences, girls camps and other activities, that we haven't been able to find a time to do it.  Libbie learned to make these fun hats, and taught Molly and Hailey how to make them too.  They turned out so great!

Molly's birthday is in a couple of weeks, so I gave her, her birthday money and we went shopping.
The other girls found some fun stuff for school too.

A few days before, some of us hit this crazy store by my house called Treasure Hunt.  They had all these purses and things marked down to $5  They were moving and trying to get rid of them.  Krista, Emily, Molly, Hailey and I each got a fun purse. (They had initials on them, and we were able to get most of them off with a little alcohol wipe) Libbie wanted to check them out, so we stopped by.  They gave us a garbage bag, and told us everything we could fit in it was $5.  They found some great treasures, it was so fun!

I had some jewelry that was Grandma Cline's.  The girls took this necklace apart and made them each a bracelet and ring.  Such clever gals!

Family campout at Wasatch State Park

Last weekend, we had our first family campout in a long time.
 It was so much fun!
All the grandkids

All the Adults

Oliver got a rock painting kit for his birthday, so they painted rocks

We took a short trip to the Provo River and played in the water.

It was a super hot day so the cool water felt great!

Katie and Abi built an awesome tepee.

They did some fancy hair tricks.

All the kids stayed at the campground in either a tent or trailer,
Mike and I stayed in a very fun Bed and Breakfast about 10 minutes away.
My kinda camping!

Happy 66th birthday Birks family

In June, my parents would have celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary.
Robynn came into town, so on the 4th of July, we had a mini family reunion to celebrate.

\

We did it at Ric and Kathy's house, and rented a fun water slide to keep the kids entertained.

Her sweet neighbors across the street, let us use their pool, such fun.

We had pulled pork sandwiches, watermelon, tons of salads, chips and cake.
It's always fun to get together.  All our kids and grandkids were there.  All of Ric and Kathy's except Chase and Carissa's families who were on family vacations.  Tatia and Jake came from Oregon, and Robynn and Dick and Lani were there too.  It was great to see everyone.

Jamie brought a delicious cheesecake left over from Logan's baptism, yummm!

Logan's Baptism

On July 3, just one day after his birthday, Logan got baptized.
He is such a sweet young man.
They had a fun gathering at his house afterwards, with his favorite treat, cheesecake.

So glad we were able to join him on his special day.
We got to see Robynn's granddaughter Adelaide get baptized the day before.

July is Birthday month

July is definitely birthday month in our family.  Logan starts us off on the 2nd and Parker is just a few days later on the 7th.  They had birthday parties on the same day, at different times with their friends and I got to help keep track of Savannah.

Hailey turned 15 on the 6th.  Hard to believe she will be driving soon. Oliver is birthday buddies with Parker on the 7th, and then Kelsi is on the 9th.  I got to tend them while their mom went to girls camp so we did some birthday shopping.  We walked over to our new Target.

We also have Josh, Mike, Jamie and Jordan with birthdays in July. Party on!
