Sledding with the kids

There is a great little park right by Krista's house that is perfect for kids to go sledding.  The sun was shining today, so we headed to the park

Jack LOVED sledding.

As did the other kids!

We brought camp chairs, snacks, hot cocoa and had a great time.

When Logan and Parker come in a few weeks, we want to go again!!!

Merry Christmas 2016

Here is our Christmas Card, and like it says, Life Is Good!

I love these pictures of all our grandchildren by their trees.

One of the highlights of Christmas this year was to go to church with Dad.  Ric organized all of us to
be there since Robynn was in town.  It was great to visit the old ward and see people I hadn't seen in years.

Christmas Eve 2016

We invited our family over for breakfast on Christmas Eve.

Charlie and his kids were in town, so they came with Lani and Dad

Yummy food and good company!

We gave our Utah grandkids their Christmas present which was a one time pass to 13 different fun places in Salt Lake.

We went to the Children's Museum at Discovery Gateway.

It was such a fun day!

Keelie and Callum came with us

There was hardly anyone else there, the perfect day to go!!!

The kids had a great time.

We hadn't been since before these 3 were born.

So many things to do

They had an emergency room where they could dress as doctors and take xrays

There is a helicopter that they pretend to drive.

We are going to get together once a month to to to the other 12 places on the pass.  We can't wait!

Cline Christmas Party

December 15th, we had our Cline Christmas Party

Krista's family was out of town at a baby blessing, and Jordan's family live out of town, so it was just Josh and Jamie's families that were her of our kids.  Steven and his family came. Paula, and her family and Grandpa and Grandma Cline were there. We had 25 people for dinner.

Afterwards we did a white elephant exchange.

Lots of fun!

Sucker making party

My kids all have great memories of making suckers with my mom.  I decided that it would be fun to do it with my grand kids.  We borrowed moms molds.

Mixed up the sugar, corn syrup and flavoring and poured it into the molds.

Lani and Dad came to join in the fun,

Thanksgiving 2016

I just realized that I didn't put pictures of our Thanksgiving dinner on my blog yet so here they are.

One very long table for the adults

One shorter one for the big and middle girls

One tiny table for the little girls.

Goofy little girls

Here's a panoramic picture of our adult table.   We had our Utah kids, Grandpa Birks, Jeff, Jen and Lani, Grandma Cline, Grandpa Cline and his friend Amy,

After our guests left, the kids had a dance party in our living room.

they had so much fun!

 The babies were hilarious!

By their fruits ye shall know them

A few months ago, the Relief Society presidency asked me if I would be willing to be in charge of decorating the Christmas tree in our foyer.  They wanted the sisters to help make ornaments and to dedicate it to those 8 members of our ward who had passed away this last year.  (kind of like a festival of tree idea)  I knew in mom's basement, there were the beautiful fruit decorations that we had used to decorate her tree several years ago.  With Robynn's help, we came up with the idea, By their fruits ye shall know them.

Krista came up with the idea to have the sisters make ornaments with shrinky dink plastic and they turned out great!!!!!   It ended up being a beautiful tribute to those we loved so dearly.

Tending our grandkids

Mike and I are blessed to be able to spend a lot of time with our grandkids.  I was never so lucky, my Grandma Brown died when I was 5 and we had lived in a different state from her for years before she died. My Grandpa Brown was alive until I was about 13, but I didn't get to spend much time with him.  Grandma and Grandpa Birks lived in Idaho, so we saw them once or twice a year.  Mike and I tend Josh's kids every Wednesday while both he and Merijane work.  (Merijane just works 1 day a week and we get to play with these two cuties)

Since Sophie has preschool, Tues and Thurs like Gabbie, we meet Krista and take her with us.

These two entertain each other so well.

We love it when we get to have Jamie's cute kids for a sleepover.

They are so cute and fun to be around.

We especially like it when they come and help us clean the church.

Even Oliver was a big help dusting the gym floor!

and cleaning the windows!

We had Sophie for a sleepover this week while Krista was getting ready for Swiss Christmas. She made some colorful Circus waffles!

I loved seeing Oliver sit in his little rocker mom gave each of the families when their oldest kids were tiny.  We sure enjoy spending time with these sweet kids!!!!!!

On Tues. I went to dad's house and put up his Christmas decorations.  I was tending Krista's girls Thurs. night and we did a doughnut run and took some over to eat with dad.  Jeff, Jen, and Lani stopped by and had some too!

A little fuzzy but pretty!
