Robynn visits SLC

When we got home from Bear Lake, Robynn was already here visiting from Dallas. I was able to hang out with her every day from Monday - Saturday.  It was such a fun week!!!!  We had a get together at mom and dad's with all my brothers and sisters and mom and dad.   It was lots of fun to all be together. We did lots of visiting, and made a play rug that turned out so cute.  On Friday night she had a sleepover at our house, and we went to a Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons concert that our Taylorsville Days put on.

We made this delicious dinner from the fun cook book Kathy gave both Robynn and I for our birthdays.

We also made these YUMMY patriotic cupcakes from the same cookbook!

Today, we got up early and hit lots of yard sales.  We were looking for matchbox cars for the little play rug and found a bunch of them.  We also found a few other things as you can see!  We found a yard sale that had all these awesome books for .25 a piece and I do love kids books, so I bought a few.  Robynn didn't have much room in her suitcase, so she controlled herself, but I went a little crazy.

All too soon, I had to take her to the airport and she is on her way back home as I am typing.  She has been gone for 3 weeks visiting, Tatia and her family, Charlie and his family, Pierce and his family, and then us!

Bear Lake 2013

We spent 4 fun days at Sutton's Cabin at Bear Lake again this year and had such a great time!

All the girls brought their bikes and went for a little bike ride while they were waiting for their families to get ready to head to the lake.

They stopped to pick some of the wild flowers that were growing nearby.

We brought Kelsi's birthday present for the tiny girls to play with at the beach.

The guys set up shade tents for the girls to play under so they wouldn't get sunburned.

It was nice, we had our own section of the beach to play on.

We had rafts and tubes for the girls to have fun on.

Kelsi loved the water!

Krista brought Sophie's pack n play, and she was able to take a nap when she got tired.
\

Gabbie slept in one of the rafts.

Kelsi just laid down on the beach to rest!

Matt brought his sail boat

and took the girls for a ride.

The beach is great at keeping the girls entertained.

Sand is so much fun!

They added to some sand castles that were left by someone.

After the beach, we celebrated Hailey's birthday with a Lala Loopsey party.  Krista made her a darling cake.

The girls made Lala Loopsey button bracelets.

They made hair clips and button rackets

to play balloon tennis.

Lani came with us and was Aida's sleeping partner.

She had to leave early Sunday morning, it was so fun to have her with us.  The girls all adore her, especially Kelsi, she wanted Lani to hold her all the time.

Jamie and Emily planned a fun scavenger hunt at the cemetery in Paris, Idaho.  We had to find head stones with the name of a prophet, someone born before 1847, someone with more than 1 wife, someone with our name, and LOTS of other creative things.

After the cemetery, we went to the Tabernacle in Paris.  It was AWESOME!

We were the only ones there, so the tour guide let us wander all around.

The girls had fun going up to the pulpit pretending to give talks and lead the singing.

After that we found a playground .

What a fun day!

Before we knew it, it was time to pack it up and head home.
We LOVE Bear Lake Vacations!!!

Lani's awesome birthday party!

On June 13th, Lani celebrated her birthday, and invited all of us to celebrate with her at a rec center swimming pool in Sandy.  She reserved the party room and had a yummy pizza dinner before the swimming.

She got lots of fun presents!

Happy little girls!

The big 3 girls, really loved the huge water slide!

Everyone had fun swimming.

The little girls wore life vests and did great.

We had most of the pool to ourselves

I think our entire family that is in Utah was able to make it, it was such a fun night!

As we were leaving, Libbie said, "Lani really knows how to throw a party, and she is right!"
