Valentine Party

We did a Valentine Party for the girls and gave their parents the opportunity to go out on a date. I had them help me make lunch, they had to smash the biscuits and then wrap the hotdog all cozy, for the pigs in a blanket.

Lunch is served

They sure enjoyed frosting and adding sprinkles to the cupcakes to take home to their parents.

The girls watched a fun movie while we cleaned up the lunch and cupcake mess.

They made valentine cards

The 3 big girls all wrote their own valentines and helped the little girls with theirs.

We played a few games. Their favorite is hide the valentine, and then do the Hot or Cold, to help find it. It was such a nice day, that the girls spent some time out in the back yard playing.
We sure had a good time with those tiny girls.

Redecorated bedrooms!

Last summer, Jamie and Emily got new bedding for their bedroom. (Unfortunately, I don't have a picture of it, but it looks really great) For Christmas Krista and Matt got new bedding that is really cute too.

Jamie and Jordan got a new bedroom set and new bedding for Christmas. It is sooooo nice!

Wednesday we went to Josh's house he had just painted and put up bead board in their bedroom. For Christmas, they wanted new bedding for their bed, and finally found what they wanted. It turned out so cute I couldn't believe it!!!

My brother Ric and sister in law Kathy just got new bedroom furniture and bedding for their room and I think because so many people were redoing their rooms, it really got me in the mood for a change. On Monday, we got an ad in the mail from the Quilt shop at Gardener Village. They had this darling quilt on their ad for a price that was very reasonable. Krista went with me after school on Tues to check it out. I was sure that they were going to charge a fortune for the pillow shams that went with it, but shocker, they were included in the price, so I bought it. Thurs. I went to the fabric store and bought 10 yards of fabric for the dust ruffle and valance. I sewed for a little while Thurs. night, then finished it up on Friday. I found melon colored sheets that looked great with the bedspread, made a few pillows, and walah. (I already had the green pillows from my previous bedding) I am thrilled with how it turned out!!!

I made the valance just like I did the dust ruffle. I am so grateful for the gathering and hemming foot for my machine.

I LOVE all the ruffles on the dust ruffle.
