A couple of sleepovers

Jamie and Emily got to go out to dinner in Park City with all the guys that work with Jamie.  The Presidential Club, got invited to spend the night in a hotel there so I got to spend the night with their kids.  Kelsi's class had a fun activity where they were all dressing like pirates that day.

While they were at school, I went over to Jordan's house and played with Savannah.
She went grocery shopping with me for Grandpa Cline's groceries.

That night we had a sleepover with the middle girls.
Katie just came for a lateover as she had a early morning volley ball game.

These silly girls wanted to go to DI to try on prom dresses.

Ric invited us to his VW show, and we had fun checking out all the VW's.
Josh's family and Jordan's family met us there.

The kids loved testing out his.

He was very busy talking to everyone who loved his cars!

The boys LOVED the Pikachu bug!
It was FULL of Pokémon stuffed animals which they are crazy about!

Afterwards, Abi and Aida helped me watch Jordan's kids at a park while Jamie and Jordan went couch shopping.  They have almost got their basement finished, and are now needing some furniture to put in it.

It's Fall Ya'll

It's September, and even though it's still 94 degrees outside, it's fall.  I love to decorate for the different seasons and holidays, so I couldn't wait until it cooled off to decorate.  Merijane gave me the fun rug by my front door, and Krista helped me make the wreath a couple of years ago, and I found the fun new fall pillow that matched the rug so cute at Sam's club.

I put all our plastic pumpkins out in my flowers to make it look a little festive.

All decorated inside too.

The top of my armoire and my kitchen table.

Last week only Jamie and Josh's families could come to Sunday dinner, so we put the extension table on my dining table to make one LONG table that fit all of us.

This Sunday, everyone is coming, so we seat the adults at the dining table, all 10 girls at 2 tables pushed together, and the boys at the bar.  I will be forever grateful, that Krista and Mike figured out how to take down our wall so we could all eat in the same room.

For activity days this week, my cute boys made DELICIOUS apple turnovers
with apples from our tree.

My friend Diana Haslam called me Friday night and said she had some extra peaches from her tree and asked if I would like them,  Yes Please!!!   Saturday morning, I got up early, and ran to 3 stores and called 2 others, to try to find canning lids, but there were none to be found.  Just as I was driving home, my friend Carolyn called me to see if I wanted to go walking.  She asked what I was doing and I told her. She said she had a bunch of lids that she bought a few years ago and hadn't used that I was welcome to.  What a Tender Mercy that was!  Fall is such a wonderful time of year!

Peach Jam

On Friday, Ila Fae called me and said she was going to pick up some peaches from Uncle Boyd's tree that had fallen to the ground in the crazy storm we had.  I told her if she had any extra, I would love some.  She called me when she got home and said she had a few for me.  I ran up to her place and picked them up.  Since they had hit the ground, they were not in the greatest shape, but I was able to make some delicious peach jam.

Nothing is better, with fresh jam, than warm homemade whole wheat bread.
I was able to go visit these two and deliver it to them as a thank you for sharing the peaches.

I love to see the Temple

Right before Covid hit, I had submitted my paperwork to serve in the temple.  I didn't ever get called because they closed down the temples.  A few weeks ago, the bishop resubmitted my name and I got called.  I was so excited!  I went in for my temple interview on Thursday, and they asked me when I would like to start.  I told them, I could start the following week.  When my supervisor called, she said they had sooooo many new people to train, that I wouldn't be able to start for four weeks.

I was ready and didn't want to wait a whole month. I don't have a great memory, so I knew it would probably take me longer than most people. She told me I should go to the temple as often as I could. Unfortunately, you have to make appointments to go, and they are all filled up for initiatory for this month, so it's not easy to go often.  She also mentioned that I could go in to the study room and study the things I needed to memorize.  I was able to do 2 Endowment sessions and 1 Initiatory session and go to the study room twice this week.  It is so wonderful to be in the temple again, and I am so grateful for the blessing I received when I was set apart that said I would be able to memorize all I need to.  I know it's going to take a lot of work, but I'm more than willing to put in the work.  When Bonnie was in town, we both found this pretty blouse.  We couldn't find a skirt to go with it, but I was able to find fabric at the fabric store and made this one. I'm so grateful that mom encouraged me to learn to sew!
