A few more wall decorated in my sewing room

My sewing room is finally done!!!  A month ago, we had Paul, (Matt's brother) build some shelves for me in the closet so I could organize my fabric and junk.  I made a valence and painted the closet doors.  Mike hung them yesterday, and it is finished.

I painted it yellow, and used  the things that used to be on the wall in my kitchen that we took down to decorate with.  I love the family birthday wall hanging Emily made,

and the fun poem on mothers from Lani.

It's fun to be able to see them every time I walk down my hall!

Today I actually hung things on a couple of more walls.  When you have a tiny room, you should put stuff on every square inch to make it look bigger, right??????
I hung a couple of shadow boxes and put my willow tree angels in them.

I hung these pictures Josh took of dad when he was taking a photography class in college.

And a shelf with a few more things on it on another wall.  I think every space is filled!

Hurst girls come for a vacation

Krista got to go with Matt to San Diego for work, so we got to have their kids for a vacation. They always love to help with the cooking. On Monday morning, Hailey made a cheetah pancake.

It turned out pretty cool!

She also made an owl one

Aida made a smiley face with sunglasses.

Sophie was happy to eat the ones they made for her.

These girls spent a lot of time doing puzzles.

Even Sophie got pretty good at some of them.

Mike and I had been wanting to see Cinderella, so the girls were nice enough to go with us.

There is a fun play area right outside the theater where we can't wait to take Logan when he gets back

The girls had a good time there.

Tuesday morning we made several batches of playdough.  Hailey made a birthday cake for Mike.

We even put candles in it to blow it out.

Krista left them a present to open every day.  This was their favorite part of the day.  Stickers today!

Aida made some beautiful necklaces

Mike taught Hailey how to make a dream catcher

Tuesday afternoon, we went to see the 24th of July parade preview.  That is the best way to enjoy the parade, inside an air conditioned building

There were some pretty awesome floats

and some fun places to take pictures.

Yikes!

What cute girls.

After that we went to Thanksgiving Point and played with Molly and Abbie there.  They each brought something to trade at the trading post.

Hailey got this awesome rock

Wednesday was the day we tend Josh's kids,  The girls wanted to play in the water.  I had two matching swim suits and these two LOVED being twinners!

The girls present for the day was water balloons, so they spent some time filling up all 100 of them.
They also played on Libbie's triple lane slip and slide.

They poured a bunch of water balloons on the trampoline and loved jumping on them to pop them!

\

After lunch they made cards for Carissa who entered the MTC that day.

These two helped me make noodles for chicken and dumplings.

On Thursday we went to Steve and Lynn's house to go swimming with Dani and Ryan

These girls sure love to swim!

Sophie had fun too!  Thanks Lynn for inviting us.

Grandma Jeri came and got the girls and kept them until Krista and Matt got home LATE Fri, night.

Happy birthday Mike

Who would believe this cute guy is 59 years old?

We invited our parents and all our kids who were in town to help celebrate.

Yesterday Mike and I went to Lowes and bought an 8 foot piece of wood and had them cut it 44 inches wide, which is the width of my table.  We bought a couple of bolts and some wing nuts and drilled two holes in our 6 ft. plastic table and the wood.  Then we attached it to the table and walah, we now have a 16 foot table, (with the leaf in our dining room table.)

It doesn't look anywhere near as big as it is from the picture, but it is awesome!

I just had to rearrange the furniture in the living room and we could all sit at the same table.

Here's dad with both our little baby boys, what a difference 3 months makes in size!

Two new chairs

Since now our living room is considerably bigger, I bought two cute new leather chairs that I have been wanting for a while.

Before the remodel, I had no where to put them, but now, with a little rearranging of the furniture, I found a fun spot for them.

Here is a picture of our kitchen with an extra table added on for a family dinner we did a few weeks ago.  Have I mentioned that I LOVE THE REMODEL!!!!

Here's the view from the front door.

Summer Fun!

We have had so much fun this summer swimming at Grandma Cline's pool!  She has been soooo sweet to let us come at least once a week.  The 6 oldest granddaughters have all turned into really good swimmers because of being able to go so often.
Josh and Krista's girls

Jamie's girls

The hot tub is really HOT!

Great Grandma Cline and Archie

Archie basking in the sun!  (only for a quick picture)

We have almost always had the pool to ourselves.

So much fun visiting and playing in the water.

Mike has been great to tend baby Jack since he is still too little to get in the sun.

Jamie told us about this awesome water wing/life jacket that she bought for Logan, and I was able to find something similar for our "Littles" and they have LOVED swimming this year!  They can go all over the pool and LOVE jumping off the side.  Sooo fun!

Every week at the pool we all bring our cute bags Jamie made us.

Here are a few of the other things we've been up to this summer.
The girls started out wanting to soak their feet and before we knew it, they were sitting in their pans of warm water.

Sprinklers on the trampoline

Slip and Slide

A trip to the temple with 3 of my favorite guys.

Free lunch at Chick fil A by adding spots.

Track meet for Libbie and Katie

And Lots of  Family dinners in our newly remodeled living room/kitchen.
