Happy Birthday Jamie!

November 30th 1982 was a great day in our family. It was the worst snow storm of the winter, and we were out in Dugway. I had been so worried that I wouldn't know exactly when I needed to go to the hospital, so I was really glad that my water broke. Jamie was the only baby that my water broke before I got to the hospital. We got out to get into our car, and had a flat tire. While Mike changed the tire, he sent me over to his school to leave lesson plans for a sub. (only in Dugway, did the teachers have keys to the outside door of the school) By the time I got home, he had the tire changed on the car and we were on our way. Mom and dad met us at the hospital, and took Krista and Josh. 2 hours later, Jamie was born, he was the easiest delivery of all my babies. It has been fun to watch him grow up, and turn into such a darling husband and dad. Here are a few pictures of that cute boy!!!! He is 6 months old in this one

Here he is 3 years old (about Molly's age) There is a little resemblance don't you think?

It's Christmas time once again!

With the new snow we just received, it is really looking like Christmas. I got all our decorations up, just before the next snow storm hit. Jamie is so sweet to make my blog all festive as well. (she promised to teach me how to do it when she comes into town in a few weeks, I can't wait!!!)

A close up by our front door

Our kitchen table

The corner of our kitchen with a few Alpine trees

Here's our kitchen window

Here's our tree, I always remember when I broke my foot a few years ago, and was feeling so sad to miss the Black Friday sales. The phone rang about 7:00am and Krista asked me if I wanted her to pick me up and go to JoAnne's to buy new decorations for my tree. We had such a fun time picking out all the decorations, and then she came and decorated it for me. I have LOVED it!!!!

Our coffee table, with the candles that we light one more each Sunday until Christmas while reading stories about Christmas. It's a tradition Mike learned in Germany. (It has a name, but I can't remember what it is)

One of our end tables all decked out for the holidays

Our other end table

I love all the little trees with lights.

A close up of our fireplace, I actually had a fire burnhing in the fireplace which we don't do very often.

Here's a shot of my living room. I do love this time of year!

I put a garland and a few decorations on our entertainment center downstairs to make it a little more festive!

We put a little tree downstairs in our family room with all of the decorations we have collected through the years. They bring back lots of memories!!!

Krista and I hit the Black Friday sales a few days ago and I pretty much finished up my shopping! Now I can just sit back and enjoy the holiday.

Our Early Thanksgiving Dinner

This is the year that all our kids go to the in-laws for Thanksgiving. Since Jordan was going to be in town for the weekend before Thanksgiving, I decided it would be fun to do an early Thanksgiving dinner. Everyone was game, so last night we had everyone over. Each family brought something delicious to contribute to the meal, it was sure tasty. Here is our family room all ready for the 35 people to join us.

I got a picture of most of the people who came. Here's Grandpa Cline

Dad, mom and Mike

Chase and Morgan

Jen, Jamie and Emily

Ric, Merijane, Chase and Kathy

Mom and Jeffrey

Cierra and Riley

Skyler and Jen's daughter Lauren

Me and Katie

Aida and Katie

3 crazy big girls that had to put on the princess dresses to eat in.

Jen and her daughter Lauren

Jeff and Jen

Carissa and Abbie

The highlight of our evening was the announcement by Chip and Elycia, that they are going to have a baby in May. Congratulations!

What a fun group we had, thanks everyone for coming!!

At 10:30 this morning, I took Jordan to the airport to head home. I am so happy that he was able to come and spend an early Thanksgiving with us!!! (Between 6:00 last night and 6:00 this morning, we got 12 inches of snow!!!!)

A visit with mom and dad

Merijane and Josh invited Krista and Matt, and Jamie and Emily and their families to come to dinner and play games on Friday night. I thought they might have a better chance of playing games, if we kept the 2 tiny girls with us. We took them to visit mom and dad, and Colleen and Olivia. We had a great time, (no one was smiling, but we really did have fun.)

Mom fell about a week ago and really hurt herself. She has been taking it easy and trying to get feeling better ever since.

Mom has the cutest doll buggy that is fun for the girls to push around

The girls both love rocking in the tiny rocker mom has had since Krista was little. Mom and Dad have given one to the first child in each family for their first Christmas.

Grammy's preschool

Last week was the time we do preschool with my 8th graders. Since the class was at 8:00 in the morning, Libbie slept over at my house and went with me and Molly slept at Hailey's and Krista brought them over. Krista and Aida hung out with us.

They each made a cute macaroni necklace

Aida made a macaroni necklace too, with the help of one of my students

These 3 girls LOVE being together!

One of the groups made this cute Mayflower ship for the kids to pick songs from.

They enjoyed singing time, and were great at Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes.
