They're Back!!!

At about 3:00 this morning, Jamie, Emily and Molly arrived home after a 23 hour drive. Their yard looked great, their grass was green and the flowers Emily planted were growing. They were exhausted, but by 8:00 or so, Molly was wide awake and ready for fun. Mike and I volunteered to entertain her, while they got a few more hours of sleep, before we helped them unpack their u-haul trailer. We sure had a fun time!

She was excited to play with her kitchen, she must have heard that it's important to wash your hands often to avoid spreading germs, because she LOVES pretending to wash her hands in her sink!!!

One of her favorite things to do in Texas, was to play by the mailboxes, and she loved checking them out here as well.

They have a very fun park a few houses down from theirs that she also enjoys playing at.

She LOVES to run, and she runs fast, she had a fun time running around the park.

Jamie and Emily live just north of Cabella's, a HUGE sporting goods store. I had never been there, but had heard it was amazing, and it was! We took Molly over there and spent a couple of hours just walking around looking at everything. Molly found this cute stack of lavender and pink tackle boxes that she really wanted. She looked right at us and said "buy it!" She is a funny girl, she talks like crazy, lots of what she says, you can't understand, but she said that, plain as day!!!

They have a HUGE aquarium that is from floor to ceiling, on two walls of a room. It is full of giant fish, and Molly loved watching them.

They have tons of stuffed birds, deer, moose, ducks, bears, and anything you can think of. It was almost as good as the zoo!

After Cabellas, we went to lunch and then back home to unload. We are so happy to have their sweet family back home again!!!!

Molly and her family are coming home!!!

At 5:00 this morning, Jamie, Emily and Molly left Texas for home. We are so excited, we can't wait to see them! They have had a great summer, but are ready to come back to Utah. They are hoping to drive the whole trip in one day, and are planning to be home late tonight. Molly is the best little traveler, they bought her a portable DVD player, rented a bunch of cartoons from Red Box, loaded up a trailer with all their stuff and off they went. We talked to them at about 4:30 this afternoon and they were almost to Flagstaff, still a ways to go. We hope everything goes well, we are planning to head down in the morning to help them unpack.

Summer's almost over!

This morning at about 9:00, Krista called and said she was ready to paint her bathroom. Matt has been working hard remodeling it for the past few weeks. I volunteered to take her girls, so she could get it done a little easier. I called Merijane to see if she and her girls would like to go to Gateway and play at the Children's museum with us. They were game, so then I called Lani and she thought it sounded fun too. She stopped by and picked up mom and we all met at the museum and had a GREAT time. The had a wheelchair that mom could ride around in so she didn't get too tired. It worked out so nice! The girls had a blast playing in the water at Gateway after the museum. What a fun way to end summer vacation.

Final summer fun!

Mike on his way to school!

This summer Mike made a goal to really start exercising.
He started walking 3-4 miles a day and riding a bike. He
wanted to be able to either ride or walk to school some days.
His school is about 3 miles from our house. He has done
great, and it has been really good to strengthen his legs. His
doctor is going to be so proud of him when he goes for his
appointment in a couple of weeks. Here is a picture of him as
he left for his first day of kids at school today. Good Luck!!!!!

Our Favorite little girls!

My sister in law, April, sent this to me today. She is pretty amazing! She took a bunch of the pictures from the last year, and put them together in a video. She added "I am a child of God" music to it. Both of her boys are married, and she can't wait to be a grandma, (although she is trying to be patient.) She is always so cute to get excited about our granddaughters. You just click the play arrow and it should play. Thanks April!!!!!

Krista's birthday dinner

Tonight we celebrated Krista's birthday. It's hard to believe
that it was 30 years ago that she was born. We were so excited
to have a beautiful baby girl, and she has turned into a beautiful
young lady. She is a darling wife and mom, and we love her so much!

Jamie and Jordan offered to bring the dessert, and we love
it when they do the dessert. It is always something fun and
fancy! They made these sunflower cupcakes. SO CUTE!

Can you see the cute lady bug on some of the flowers?

Lani loves our sweet babies, and they love her!

Aida loved mashed potatoes!

Smile for the camera!

Where's your smile dad?

Goofing off in the kitchen!

It's fun to have a young aunt to jump with the girls

Mom brought a cute book for Hailey and Libbie
Thanks Gigi!

We sure love you!

After dinner, we had a family home evening lesson. Hailey
and Libbie led the opening song, I am a child of God. We
had a quick lesson on Journals, and read some of the entries
from the journals I kept for our kids. Then we gave the girls
a journal to keep track of the fun things they do and say. It
was a very fun night.

Cline Family Reunion

We just got home from the Cline reunion. We picked Paul up
and took him with us, since he doesn't drive very far any more.
It was out in Grantsville, where Mikes Great Grandpa Cline raised
his family. It was the Ulysses S. Cline reunion, so there were
tons of people there, cousins we had never met before.
Mike's 3 aunts were there, and lots of his cousins. Some
people brought old pictures and scrapbooks they had made.
You can click on the pictures, and they should go bigger, then
click on the back arrow key and it should take you back.

This is a quilt, that his great grandmother pieced together
out of the scraps from things she had made.

This is Mike and 2 cousins, playing with the "squeeze box"
their great grandma used to play. They said that she would
play it for all the grandkids and they loved singing with her.

I was surprised to see one of my students, Katie McNally.
Her mom and Mike are 2nd cousins.

Tonight for dinner I tried a new recipe that turned
out so good.Robynn asked me to take pictures as I made it
and put it here for her to see, so here it is! It made tons of them,
so I invited Krista over and she took some home to Matt
and Paul (his brother) who are remodeling their bathroom.
If you like making cinnamon rolls you will LOVE making these!
(I just noticed it says serves 2, it really serves probably 5-6 hungry people)

Jordan River Temple

Last week when Mike and I were out, we drove by Kneaders,
one of our favorite restaurants, and he mentioned that on
Saturday morning, they have an all you can eat French toast
breakfast. We decided then, that we would go to the temple
early Sat. morning, then hit Kneaders, which is right by the
temple. I called mom, dad and Lani, and they were game, so
we had a nice time at the temple and then off to Kneaders.

Kneaders for all you can eat French toast

This is the delicious french toast with whipped cream
and syrup. MMMMMM good!!! It was about an inch
and a half thick, so it filled you up fast!

Here's the family enjoying their breakfast.

Lani snapped this picture of Mike and I outside of Kneaders.
I think I'm going to hire her as our personal photographer. We
changed the one on our header to this one, thanks Lani!
