Our new table

Krista has started refinishing furniture and selling it. A few weeks ago, she and Matt refinished this beautiful table. Her neighbors were getting rid of it, and put it on the side of the road for the garbage man to pick up. She asked them if they cared if she took it and they said that she could. One of the legs was broken, and the top was in terrible shape. Krista sanded it and Matt painted it, and it turned out amazing. She was all ready to sell it, and took this picture of it in her living room to put on KSL. When I saw it, I LOVED it and wanted to buy it. My table seats 6, so every time our kids come, we have to add a card table to our table. This one is huge, you can put 2 on each end, and 3 down the sides, and you can add a leaf for even more. I told her I wanted to buy it, and she called all our kids, and they went in on it, and gave it to us for Christmas!

We then refinished all of my chairs, bar stools and side table to match. Krista sanded them, Matt painted them, I glazed them, and Mike did the final finish spraying.

I am sooooo happy with them, they turned out great!

Thanksgiving 2011

Happy Thanksgiving everyone, this was a really great Thanksgiving. We had lots of family, 29 people, and it was a little cozy in our basement, but lots of fun. Unfortunatly, most of my pictures were messed up when I downloaded them. I forgot to turn the printer off, and for some reason, if it's on, it makes the pictures download with CRAZY colored lines all through them. I only had a couple that worked.

Mike and I were so glad everything turned out well.

Mom and Dad finishing up their dinner

After dinner, everyone read the ads to check out what they wanted to shop for on Black Friday! It was a great Thanksgiving and one of the best dinners I can remember, thanks everyone for doing such a great job!

2011 Primary Programs.

Today was our last primary program. Molly's ward has TONS of kids, unbelievable, and they did such a nice job. What a lot of work! Primary programs are so fun when you are the grandparents! I have no idea how any of the other kids did, because I couldn't take my eyes off of my adorable granddaughters!

Hailey's program was lot of fun too. Those kids sure can sing!

We have had a great time going to everyone's program.

Hailey and Libbie's programs were on the same day, so we went to Libbie's Saturday practice and were able to take pictures of her at the pulpit. They all did such a cute job!

Beauty and the Beast

My school has been working REALLY hard, ever since school started on the play Beauty and the Beast. This past weekend was the production of it, and we took the three big girls to see it. The students did a great job, and the girls really enjoyed it. The director let us sit up in the balcony, which was closed to the public, so they wouldn't have to clean it. So there was just one other family up there. It was so fun, the girls danced in the isles and really enjoyed the show.

Quite a few of my students were in it. Belle is in my Teen Living class, and such a cute girl.

Here they are with the baker.

And posing with one of the village people.

Amanda is one of my sweetest students.

Molly wore her beautiful princess dress and curtsied whenever I took a picture. Several of them, she wasn't in because she was in a low curtsey!

Finally, we got to take a picture with Belle, the girls thought she was sooooo Beautiful! Libbie decided she wanted to have a Belle birthday party and invite her to come. (She had just been to an Arial birthday party, and they had Arial come)

Halloween 2011

A couple of weeks before Halloween, we had the girls dress in their costumes so we could take pictures. They are finally big enough to all look in the same direction, I hope someday, they will all smile!!!!

Molly wanted to be a girl lion and Emily found a darling costume online for her. Abbie was the cutest little lady bug! (They forgot their costumes for the above picture, so we went to their house on Halloween to see them all dressed up.)

Hailey wanted to be Tiana from Princess and the frog and Aida was a darling little Tinkerbell. They went to Gardner Village and took these cute pictures. Mom,dad, and Lani, went with them and had a great time!

Libbie loves the Wizard of Oz movie, and wanted to be Dorothy this year. Her mom had been looking for a costume, but could only find adult Dorothy costumes. I offered to make it, and had a lot of fun sewing it for her. Katie wanted to be a witch, and is wearing the costume that Gigi made for Cierra about 20 years ago. Thanks Kathy for taking good care of it and letting her borrow it!
