Another Boys Sleepover

Everytime I see these boys, they ask when the next Boys Sleepover is going to be.  They love getting together!

I was smart, and had them all bring scooters, so after I picked them up Friday evening, they rode their scooters to the park.  There were a million kids, so we headed to Arctic Circle for an ice cream cone.  By the time we got back to the park, the crowd was gone and they played until dark.

The next morning, as soon as they woke up, they wanted to do a donut run.
We headed to Harmons for some of their delicious donuts! ( In PJ's)

Oliver and Jack taught Logan and Parker to play checkers.  Jack is awesome at checkers, and can beat Mike and I almost every time.

They played outside in the back yard until it was time for the Friend to Friend broadcast, that they watched from my bed.  It was all about temples, we are so blessed to have so many so close!  We learned about making covenants and staying on the covenant path.

For our end of the summer fun, we went to KTR (Kids That Rip).  Such a fun place for these four.
It kept them entertained for several hours, and wore them out!  There was so much to do there.  They definitly got their exercise for the day.  We had a great time with our boys!  Hard to believe school will start in 2 weeks!!!!

A week with the Hurst Girls

Krista and Matt got to go on an amazing 2 week vacation to Europe this summer.

They spent several days in Paris, then went to Germany and then Austria.  They had such a great time!  Lani, Grandma Jeri, and I all got to take turns tending them.

We had lots of fun while they were gone.  The girls made TONS of earings and baked alot.

We had Savanah for a sleepover.  The girls were so great with her!  Aida painted her toenails and  did her hair.  They got out all their Lala Loopsey dolls and she had so much fun!

She loved the ferris wheel for the dolls, so we took her on a real one!  We took her to the Tom and Jerry movie and she sat perfectly.  Such a fun tiny girl!

Hailey was just finishing up drivers ed, so she got some practice driving my car.It was so nice to spend time with these sweet girls.  I got to come back Sunday night to help get Hailey off to FSY at BYU.  What a fun week she had!

4th of July

At 8:30 this morning, Jordan texted everyone and said they were heading to Silver Lake in about an hour, and wondered if anyone would like to join them.  Josh's family was going to Merijane's parents,  Jamie's family was at the Provo 4th of July parade with Emily's family, and Krista's family was at a ward breakfast but said they could come after.  We had no plans, so we were game.  I ran to the store and bought some giant hoagie sandwiches,  grabbed the pasta salad and water melon leftover from Sunday dinner, Jordan brought chips, and Krista brought dessert.. Silver Lake is so gorgeous!  We need to make it a tradition to go there at least once every year.

Josh and Merijane's family stopped by for a visit on their way home from her mom's house.   The picture of Jamie's family was after the parade.  We are so blessed to live in such a great country.

Temple trip

What a great day this was!  We were able to take our 6 oldest granddaughters to the Jordan River Temple.  They are all such good girls, and we are so blessed to be their grandparents. We had all 6 for a sleepover and had a great time.   It's hard to believe, that in just a very short time, January of 2024, the three little girls will be old enough to get a temple recommend.  I can't wait to take all 9!

I love getting to serve in the temple every Tuesday morning from 4:00-10:00.  It has been so wonderful.  I have a terrible memory, and was so worried that I wouldn't be able to memorize everything that I needed to, but I have been so blessed to be able to learn it. I love hearing that our girls are going with their friends to the temple.  It makes me so happy!
