Sledding at Mountain Dell Golf course

It has been so much fun having Jamie and Jordan at our house for the Holidays!

We were able to go with them to the SLC temple on Thursday.  When we got into the chapel waiting room, there were Skyler and Kara, so we got to go on a session with them.

Jordan REALLY wanted to go sledding while he was here, so he arranged a trip to Mountain Dell golf course, and Jamie and his girls, and Krista, Matt and their girls were able to join us.  (Josh and his girls were at a family activity with Merijane's family)  Here's Jamie, Jordan and Hailey going down the hill.

After sledding, we went to Krista's house and helped her take down her decorations.  Now she's already for baby Sophie to come tomorrow!!!  We can't wait to meet her.

Merry Christmas 2012

I have had so much fun preparing for Christmas this year!  I haven't sewn as much as I did this year for a long time.  I made 6 nighties for our girls, 2 little sleepers for the babies and a blanket for little Sophie (Krista's baby who should be here in the next week)  Then I made PJ pants to match for all the moms.  They all turned out pretty cute!!!

We found these Our Generation dolls for the 6 girls and I had fun finding outfits, coats, and making nighties for them too.  The baby girls got Madam Alexandar Huggums dolls.

I think these little fur coats were my favorite thing I got for the dolls!

On Christmas we had ALL our kids, Jamie and Jordan arrived on Christmas Eve, all the Great Grandparents and Lani, Jeff, Jen and Jen's parents over for lunch and they stayed for the wild present opening festivities.

 There were presents EVERYWHERE!!!!

The girls were so excited with their dolls, (I found glasses for the girls with glasses)

Jordan loved holding Kelsi, he's practicing for July when he gets to hold his own baby!

Jamie in her new Christmas jammies.  We got their baby a puppy and bought little boy jammies, (they find out in a month if it's a girl or boy, but I just thought it would be fun to buy boy clothes, even though it's probably a girl)

Our missionaries joined the chaos.

Here they are in their new jammies like we got for all our boys.

More presents and some of the girls modeling their nighties.

Here's all the big girls piled in bed in their nighties with their dolls

It was another GREAT Christmas, we are so blessed to have our family close by.
Merry Christmas!!!!

A sleepover with 3 Three year olds!!!

Last weekend we had Katie, Aida and Abbie for a sleepover.  We have had all 3 of their big sisters several times, but have never had the 3 three year old together.  It was so much fun.  We went out to dinner and played at the playground for about an hour.  When we came home we had a "Dark Party" dancing to Christmas music with the lights out and glow sticks.  (my flash made it look like there were lights, but it was really DARK!)  They loved it!!!

They were exhausted, so they were all 3 asleep before 10:00, which is a miracle with 3 little girls in the same room.  The next morning they got up early and made breakfast for the missionaries.  They cut the biscuits in half.

Then had to dip and flip them in the buttery, sugary, cinnamon mixture.

They made juice and we had Christmas Crunch cereal

So yummy!  They were so nice they get to come again sometime soon!

Our tiny girls are getting big!

Last Wednesday I was at tending Josh and Merijane's little girls and took this picture of Gabbie, she is getting so big!  When Krista's baby is born, she will look so grown up!

Little Kelsi is getting big too.  These two are the happiest, smiliest little girls ever!  We are so happy to have them in our family.

Thanksgiving

This year I feel especially grateful for all the blessings that I have.  I am so blessed to have such an amazing family.  We were able to get together with most of them on Thanksgiving, and there is such a feeling of love when we are together.  I am so grateful for my parents and the great job they did of raising all of us.  I am so thankful for my brothers and sisters.  What great examples they are to me.  I am thankful for Mike, he is so sweet and kind and always goes along with whatever crazy ideas I have.  I am so thankful for my kids, and their spouses.  They are all such awesome parents and trying so hard to do what they know is right.  I absolutely adore all of my darling granddaughters!  I feel so blessed to be such a big part of their lives.
Krista was so sweet to host our Thanksgiving dinner for 30 people.  Her new home has so much room for parties!  We really appreciate all the work she and Matt did to get ready for it.

We were glad to have Skyler and Kara to represent the Thiots that we always miss.

                                                                                                              Carrissa and Gabbie

I love Krista's kitchen with her huge island!

It was so nice to have so much room!

When I went up to check on the girls, they were hula hooping in Krista and Matt's room.

They were in a line waiting for their turn to try.

Then they all got inside the hula hoop, they are such funny little girls and they have so much fun together!

What a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner we had!  (Awesome to celebrate early so we could have so many come)

Last Saturday, Jamie and Jordan had a 3 hour layover in SLC on their way to California to visit Jamie's parents for Thanksgiving.  We were able to pick them up at the airport and whisk them off to our house for a quick lunch with the family.  Mom, Dad, Lani, Colleen, and all our kids and grandkids were there.  It was fast but so much fun to see them!!!

Everyone loved sitting around and visiting with each other for a few minutes.

It was hard to say good bye, but we know they will be here for Christmas, so it's only 1 month away!
Thanks for making SLC your layover, we LOVE you two!
Cute story, I was tending Josh's girls last night, Katie and Gabbie were already asleep, and I was laying down by Libbie.  She said, "Grammy, if you could go anywhere in the world where would it be"  I was thinking of Hawaii, Australia, or some fun place.  I said, I don't know, where would you go?  She said they had to write a story for school about where they would go and she put Georgia to visit her aunt and uncle. Then they had to write what they would do there and she put go in their back yard to watch Lexi do her tricks.  I thought that was so cute.  Our girls all just ADORE Jamie and Jordan.
