Dinner at Krista and Matt's new house

Krista and Matt moved into their new house a little less than a month ago and they have it almost all remodeled.  They have been working so hard, and it is a beautiful home.  They invited our whole family and Lani for dinner tonight, we had a great time.  Here are a few pictures of their new house.

Here's Aida's room

Hailey's room

The girls bathroom

Their HUGE living room with the beautiful new floor Matt just put in

Another view of the living room

Their kitchen with the new cabinets and counter tops Matt put in and the table and chairs Krista refinished.

The girls kitchen fit in the corner of the real kitchen and the little girls had a great time playing in it.  They all love to put on dress ups as soon as they get together, and luckily, they all have lots of dress ups.

The big girls had fun playing Dr, with Jamie who was such a good sport to play with them

They also had fun playing beauty shop with her

Here are the 3 big girls all ready for dinner.  Notice the beautiful flowers that Hailey made yesterday when we made our wreaths.

This is her new counter top and sink and the cute easter grass and flowers that are growing in her window.

It was so much fun to be together, and it was great to be in their nice big house with plenty of room for all.

Spring Wreath-Priesthood session project

Krista saw this cute wreath on someone's blog and thought it would be fun to make

It is made out of LOTS of coffee filters

First, you put some water in a bowl and add acrylic paint, (I provided paint shirts for all the girls, since they all came dressed in cute outfits, didn't want you to think they were all wearing boys t-shirts)

Then you dip in a stack of coffee liners and get them soaked

Wring them out

Now you need to let them dry, if it's not windy, you can do it outside.......

If it is, you better do it in your garage, or they will be all over the neighborhood

Once they are dry, you twist them into adorable little flowers

Next, you hot glue them to your wreath, we did them in groups of 3, but you can do whatever you want

Hailey and Libbie wanted to help,so they made tons of flowers that we put on sticks

and they made beautiful flower arrangements that they gave to Jamie

Here we are with our wreaths and the girls with their flowers

Merijane is only 3 days away from delivering little Gabie

Here it is on my wall!

Thanks little girls for being so AWESOME and playing so nice together so we could do our project, and thanks Lani and Simon for keeping them entertained..

Jamie and Jordan are here

Jamie and Jordan arrived at our house late Friday night.  They had a stressful drive to Atlanta.  They left with plenty of time, but got caught in road construction and traffic, and their 2 1/2 hour drive ended up being 4 hrs. and 10 min.   They arrived at the airport exactly when their plane should have taken off, at 6:50. They had called along the way and found that their plane had been delayed 1/2 hour.  They parked their car, sprinted to security, right as they got there, another line opened up and they got to go right through, they caught a train to their gate which was the furthest one away and made it just as they were finishing boarding.  If they would have missed their plane, the next one that had tickets available was on Monday.  We are so grateful for the tender mercies of the Lord and the miracle that delayed the plane so that they could make their flight!!!

Last Sunday when President Tindall, our stake president, stopped by to check on how we were doing with the missionaries, we mentioned that if he ended up with any extra conference tickets, Jamie and Jordan would love to be able to go.  He called us Friday night at 10:15 just before we left for the airport and said he had 4 tickets we could have.  He even had a parking pass for us to park close by so we got in and out with no trouble. Thanks Pres. Tindall.

It is so good to have Jordan and Jamie here with us to enjoy conference.  It was wonderful to be at the conference center and feel of the great spirit there.

We sat on the 2nd to the back row in the terrace, so we got out very quickly and were home  by 12:40, AMAZING!!!

Conference weekends are one of my very favorite weekends of the year!!!!!

Grammy's Preschool

This was the week at school that we did our preschool.  Since all the girls live a ways a way, and some of them are in kindergarten, I didn't know if any would be able to come.  All the mom's made a huge effort to get all 6 of the girls there.

Katie was the first to arrive at school.  Merijane had a Dr. appt and dropped her off a few minutes early,

Molly and Abbie arrived next.  They had fun making popcorn trees and singing the song.

Hailey and Aida came after Hailey got out of school.  Josh brought Libbie after her school was over and so I had all 6 girls there.  They had so much fun!

Play dough is great!

Molly and Aida are great at rolling out the play dough

Lots of fun Easter shapes

Sunshine with glasses

Singing time!  Thanks Krista, Emily, Josh and Merijane for bringing the girls!

Our guest bedroom all ready for our guests!

On Friday, Jordan and Jamie are coming for a visit. We are so excited, we haven't seen them since last August. In preparation for them coming, I decided to redo our guest room downstairs. I think it turned out pretty cute!

We put up a 3 little shelves and some pictures I framed from an Ansel Adams calendar.

A quilt for Gabbie

Saturday, I didn't have any fun things planned, so I called Merijane to see if I could come over and make a little quilt to go in the cradle to match their new bedroom. They recently redid it in orange, yellow, and green, and I thought it would be fun to make a new quilt. I found some fabric at JoAnne's and headed over to their house. I made an orange sheet, and this cute little quilt. (It really is orange, with yellow daises, although it looks yellow in the picture) Only another 9 days and little Gabbie will be here! We can't wait!!

Here's Libbie practicing with my porcelain doll how to hold a new baby.

Josh just sent me this picture of Gabbie all wrapped up in the quilt.

Spring is coming!!!

Last fall Krista and I hit a clearance sale at Rod works, and I found the SPRING sign and the cute flower on my mirror. I was so excited to finally get to put them out.

My living room all decked out for spring!

A little closer look

I love my table with the spring decorations on it.
