2017 Staycation

This year, when Jordan and Jamie came into town, we decided to do a staycation, and just have fun in Salt Lake.  We started it off on Thursday evening with a picnic at a park near Grandma Cline's house.  She and Grandpa Birks joined us.

We went to her pool after the picnic. She is always so sweet to host our swimming parties!

Fun in the hot tub.

On Saturday, we met at the Lion House for lunch.

All 23 of us were there, it was very yummy.

After lunch we went to Clark Planetarium

I can't believe we've never been there before.

Very fun!

Friday night we met at Art Dye Park in American Fork to take family pictures.  It was the best family picture experience we have ever had.  All of the kids were great and the photographer made it so much fun.

We promised any kids that smiled and cooperated with the photographer a sleepover in our backyard.
We had all 10 of the big kids

These were the first ones awake, so they were my kitchen help

We had breakfast out on the patio.

We met their parents at Black Ridge Reservoir in Herriman  for lunch and a swim.

The kids had a great time floating around the lake

and playing in the sand.

Sunday, we all went to our own wards and met at Temple Square afterwards.

After Temple Square, we went to our house and had a delicious dinner that Krista and Emily made.

Monday, we went to a park in Saratoga Springs to roast hot dogs and make s'mores.  Jamie and Merijane were in charge of dinner this night.  Grandpa Cline lives close by, so he joined us.

Oliver brought his little power wheel to ride around.

Jordan and Logan are at the very top!

After dinner, they had a concert in the park and we stayed for a while and the kids had fun dancing.

We feel so blessed to have such a wonderful family.  Thanks everyone for making our staycation so much fun!
