Spring Break 2014 Continued,

Friday I invited Libbie for a sleepover.  We had a couple of projects we wanted to do.  It was Gabbie's birthday on Sunday, and Libbie wanted to make her an apron to go with the kitchen her parents did for Gabbie's birthday.  Robynn had seen some pretty white dresses at Costco, and since we were looking for baptism dresses for Hailey and Libbie, we met Hailey at Costco, and tried them on.  We found one they both loved, and bought it for them.

It is pretty fancy from the back too!

All our big girls love to sew, Libbie was excited to get to make Gabbie an apron.  She got a sewing kit for Christmas had a pattern to make an apron from a dish towel, so that's what we did!

It turned out very cute!

A while ago, I found some little wooden beds at a yard sale and bought them. Jamie painted a couple for his girls for Christmas, but I still had one left.  We painted it to match Libbie's room .

She did a great job of painting it!

We ran to JoAnne's and found fabric to match her bedroom colors, and made a comforter to go with it!

Then it was time to run to the church and get set up for the General Women's conference.  Mike and Libbie came to help set up, then Mike was going to take Libbie home, since she doesn't turn 8 for a few more months.  After we got it all set up, Libbie REALLY wanted to stay.  It was 5:20 and the meeting started at 6:00,  All she had to wear were her jeans, t-shirt and tennis shoes.  She had the great idea to wear her baptism dress, (I could just see her spilling chocolate eclairs all down the front of it)   I remembered I had a cute jumper I had bought for all the girls, that I hadn't given them yet, so we ran to Walmart, and found some shoes and a white t-shirt to go under it, and were back before the conference started.

It was fun to have her there, and to get to spend time doing fun things with her!

Over the weekend, Krista bought a bunch of strawberries for us to make into jam.  Tuesday, was the day we planned to get together to make it.  Mike and I headed up to her house, and on the way up I got feeling REALLY SICK!  I thought maybe I had food poisoning.  I threw up several times on the way up, and when I got there, my stomach was still hurting really bad.  I laid on her couch for an hour or two, took some tylenol and ibuprofen and got feeling well enough to help with the jam.
Aida was in charge of stirring

Hailey helped cover the jam with plastic wrap and foil

What a great team we had!

Wednesday, I still wasn't feeling great, but I went over and visited with mom and Robynn who was in town.  After that I went to visit Jamie and Emily who had just got a swingset for their girls.

Thurs. I went to the temple with dad, Mike and his dad, and came home and went to bed, still feeling kind of awful.  Friday morning, I went to Instacare and they said I probably had a Kidney Infection.  They put me on antibiotics and said I should be feeling better within 24 hours.  By Sunday, I was still SICK, so I went back to Instacare and they sent me to St. Marks for a CT scan.  The scan showed I had a "gazillion " kidney stones.  No wonder I didn't feel great!  Anyway, I had a lot of infection as well, so they couldn't operate right then.  They put a stint in my kidney, to relieve the pressure and scheduled surgery for April 15th, a little over a week away.

On the 15th, they were able to put in a tube to remove the kidney stones through.  I had one right in my kidney that was as big as a golf ball, CRAZY!!!! They broke them down, and took them all out!  I had Tues-Friday off of work.   Now I am recovering, taking it easy, and getting ready to go back to work.
I am feeling much better, and am very grateful for good doctors and priesthood blessings!
