The other day my friend posted on Facebook that she had some peaches that she wanted to give away. Logan was at our house, and so I asked him if he would like to go pick some. He was excited and asked if we could make a peach pie. Here's how to do just that !
The first thing you do, is pick the best peaches.
Put them in a box and take them to your house
Take two large peaches and smash them
Add 2/3 c. sugar, 3 T. cornstarch and 1/2 c. water
Cook, stirring constantly about 5 min until it boils and thickens.
Then add 1/2 t, almond extract and 2 T butter
Make a single crust pie crust
Roll it out
Carefully place in pie pan and flute the edges. (thumb, pinch, thumb, pinch) then bake
Slice 4-6 remaining peaches
Carefully mix the sauce you made with the sliced peaches and pour into baked pie shell.

I took some peaches over to Krista and taught Sophie how to make a pie too.
We had so much fun!
Her's turned out amazing as well
My friend Diana called me back and said she had more peaches, so I went back and picked some more and was able to make 22 quarts of peaches and a little peach jam.
