Our new swingset

Ever since the girls were little, we have had baby swings hanging in the tree in our back yard.  As they got bigger, we added a bigger swing, and a water skiing rope for them to twirl on.  They have lots of fun out there, but since number 8 granddaughter is on the way, we needed more things for them to play on, and Mike didn't think the tree would hold much more.

He got on KSL and found a swingset  that he has spent the last few weeks, rebuilding for our backyard.  It had the swings coming off the monkey bars, but we knew that the big girls LOVE monkey bars, and would want to be playing on them while the little girls wanted to swing.  He added an extra side for the swings and walah!!!!

With a couple of gallons of paint, it looks AWESOME!  I think the girls are going to have lots of hours of fun.  It has a little picnic table on the bottom, that they really enjoy playing play dough on.  Mike is a pretty handy guy to have around!!!  (Now we just need to get some water on the grass and bring it back to life)

Memorial Day

A few days ago, Jamie called and asked us what we were doing for Memorial Day.  They wanted to bring their girls and come join us at the cemetery.  Since Molly and Abbie didn't know what Grandma and Grandpa Brown looked like, mom brought pictures of them to get them a little acquainted with them.

The girls were amazed at all the pretty flowers everywhere!

After we visited the cemetery, we went to Murray park for a picnic and to play on the playground.

They sure had a fun time!!!!

Libbie's 6th birthday party

Libbie Jane Cline was born 6 years ago today!  She had a very fun party in the canyons with a little mermaid birthday cake.  She invited our family to come and celebrate with her.

I got the 3 big girls all princess razor scooters for their birthdays this year, and decided to give them to them at her party so they could enjoy them during the summer months.  They were all awesome on them!

We had a yummy dinner with roasted hot dogs and sommores, so tasty!!!

All the great grandparents were able to come.

Milcreek Canyon is so beautiful!

After dinner we went on a hike

Grandpa Cline came with us

The girls have such a fun time up in the mountains.

Even little Gabbie enjoyed the party!

Mother's day at Krista's

Krista invited us over to her house for a Mother's day luncheon.  We had such a yummy lunch, then took the girls to the school to play on the playground.  When they got home, she gave them all an otter pop and told them to go eat it outside.  This is where they all went to eat it.  They looked so cute I had to snap their picture on her front step.

A few weeks ago, I was at Sams Club and saw these dresses in all 7 sizes that I needed.  I couldn't resist buying them, so I gave them to the girls today, and had them all try them on.  Josh put on some music, and they had fun dancing around the living room.

I was so excited that they even had one for tiny Gabbie!

Krista invited Colleen, mom, dad, and Lani to come too

It was a great Mother's day, thanks everyone!!!!

A Party Extraordinarine!!!!!

A few weeks ago, Krista heard about a Fancy Nancy Party that her library was having.  She invited our girls to come.  The day finally arrived and they were all so excited.  Of course, all who came had to dress up!!!!!!

The party was hosted by none other than Mrs. DeVine, Fancy Nancy's neighbor.  She was ADORABLE!!!!  She read Fancy Nancy and the Posh Puppy.    She read it with such expression, the girls were spell bound!

There were probably about 40 darling little girls all dressed up.

They did a fashion show and had each little girl come up on the stage and do a turn and curtsy

Then they took their pictures and printed them off and gave them to the girls.

Two cute little cousins

Then they let them make a frame to put their picture in

They printed the pictures right there to put in their frames.

There was a place for the moms to paint their little girls fingernails

And a table for frosting cookies with sprinkles of course!!!!

The cookies were really tasty!

And very beautiful!!!

The tables were decorated very fancy and there were fancy champagne glasses to drink pink lemonade, as well as a yummy lunch with tiny sandwiches and lots of fruits and vegetable with dips.

Krista, Emily and I got to come to the party too.  By each place setting was a napkin with a fancy ring for the napkin ring, a tiara, a necklace, and a wand.

I sat with these lovely ladies

At the end we had to get a picture with Mrs. DeVine

She truly is DIVINE!!!  What a splendid party!!!!

Ruffled lamp shade

My cute niece Stacy added ruffles to some lamp shades at her house, and I really liked them. I decided to add some to match the pillow I made for our bed when I redid our room a few months ago.

As you can see, mine is not nearly as fancy as hers, but still fun.

                                                       Thanks for the inspiration Stacy!

It's soccer time!
