Gigi's girls

A little while ago, we were cleaning out mom's closet.  She had so many fun pajamas and night gowns.  Krista and I had the idea to cut them down and make them for the big girls for Christmas.

I think they turned out pretty cute.

Christmas 2014

This year we got a new bigger Christmas tree.  Krista came over and decorated it for us, it was Beautiful!

Christmas morning we went to visit all our kids.  (this was a picture one of our home teaching families snapped of us when we delivered their Christmas treats.)

Our first stop was Josh and Merijanes.

After a quick visit to see what Santa brought them, we were off to Jordan and Jamie's house.
Unfortunately, Logan wasn't feeling very good, but he still managed to enjoy all his fun presents.

Then we headed to Jamie and Emily's house

and then to Krista's

Our last stop was dad's house for an open house.

After dad's house, all our kids and grandkids came to our house for dinner.  We did the nativity, the girls had worked on costumes for a few weeks. Unfortunately, I didn't remember to take pictures except of these 3.

Heidi Rae's Blessing

December 28th was a special day.  Cute little Heidi Rae Birks was blessed by her dad Chase.
We were able to attend her blessing at her grandparents home in Bluffdale.  Chase and Morgan come from Detroit for Christmas and had her blessing while they were here.

A sleepover with Logan

We have been lucky enough to get to play with this adorable little guy several times in the last few weeks. We got to have a sleepover at his house last night while his mom and dad went to an MBA dinner party.  He was so fun and funny.  He laughed and danced and had such a great time.  Today we went to a park in the mountains 10 minutes from their house, with Jamie and Jordan.  Logan rode with us and was just smiling and laughing the whole way.

Last week he came up and played with Josh's girls that we were tending.  We went to the park near our house.

His favorite thing is playing with steering wheels, he LOVES cars.

We also stopped by to say hi to the horses on our way to the park.

The week before, we went to the park in his back yard.

Thanks for being so much fun today Logan.

Halloween 2014

Sunday night, we invited the kids for dinner and had them wear their costumes for our traditional Halloween picture.  Our bench is overflowing these days.  We had a yummy dinner then the girls decorated Halloween cookies that Jamie made.  After that, we had a scavenger hunt for Halloween treats.  Then we had a game of Halloween Bingo.  I finally figured out how to make everyone happy, whenever anyone got Bingo, everyone got a treat!  It worked, we went through a lot of candy, but there were no tears.  I had ordered some fun Halloween books from Aida's book order at school, so we played a little game where they each got to choose one.

Jamie made the most amazing Anna dress you have ever seen.  I am so sorry I didn't get a better picture of it.  She embroidered all around the bottom and on the front and it was incredible!  She also made the beautiful cape that she is wearing, as well as Josh's and Logans costumes.  (Logan's hat was made by one of her friends)  All the kids are going to look so cute on Halloween!

Krista's girls were Elsa, Anna and little Olaf

They went to Lani's work to a Halloween Party.

Another fun weekend with the grandkids

On Friday afternoon, I met Jamie to pick up Logan for a sleepover, she and Jordan were having a date night. Emily invited us to go to a pumpkin patch with her family.  They had also invited Krista's big girls, and Josh and Merijane and their girls.   It was lots of fun!

The kids each got to decorate a pumpkin

They had a petting zoo

and a fun pumpkin patch.

There was a huge corn pile where the kids could dig for little prizes.  They also had a hayride and apple launching.  They served hot dogs for dinner, a favorite of all the kids. What a fun night!

Saturday morning we went to Abbie and Molly's soccer game.  They both did great!

Molly was the goalie in her game.

The kids were good sports watching the game.

We took Jamie's girls home with us for a sleepover so their parents could have a date night.
The girls helped me make "pop-up" pancakes.

They like to add food coloring to make them fancy

and CRAZY!!!

Very yummy.

After breakfast, they played play dough during the morning session of conference.

For lunch we had Navajo Tacos, they made their scones into ghosts, spooky!

These girls are so sweet and such fun to have for sleepovers.
