Graduation Day

It's hard to believe that these two beauties graduated from high school this week!  They have both worked so hard and have amazing grades and will be heading off to college in the fall.  Hailey is going to BYU Idaho and Libbie is going to Salt Lake Community College.

We were so happy that Hailey's was on Wednesday and Libbie's was on Thursday, and that Mike was feeling well enough to go to both!  Good luck on your new adventrues!

My vacation to Eagle Mountain

Jamie and Jordan went with 3 other couples to Cancun to an all inclusive resort. They left EARLY Monday morning and got back late Saturday night.  They had a wonderful time.

The weather was perfect and they were able to zipline, snorkle with sea turtles, Jamie and the girls got  massages, while Jordan and the boys golfed, drove tiny speed boats, ate lots of delicious food, and relaxed on the beautiful beach.

I wsa able to have a fun vacation in Eagle Mt. with their kids.  They are the best little kids.  One of the first things they ask in the morning is "what's my chore?"

Jamie has taught them well, and they are so good to do their chore before school.

Savannah and Zac do the sliding glass door.

Zac loves to help with the sweeping!

It was a busy fun week.  Logan and all the 5th graders in Alpine school district, put on an amaziung program at the BYU Marriot Center called Hope of America.  They sang 14 songs!

It's kinda hard to spot Logan, but he's there.  We were able to watch it on TV.

We had basketball and volley ball practices and games.

Swimming lessons

For Christmas, Jamie's brother Matt gave the boys 12 months of kits from Mark Roper that are so amazing.  These two can follow the step by step directions and do them by themselves.

Savannah loves building with her magnet blocks.

Zac LOVES being outside in their awesome backyard.

One night we stopped and got pizza and went to the funnest park.

Jamie had all the meals planned out with ingredients ready to go.  I had each of the kids help me with dinner one night.  Logan made DELICIOUS  macaroni and cheese.

Parker cooked the hotdogs, yummm!

Savannah browned the hamburger for tacos. Such great helperx!

Zac is by far the best eater they have.  He loves spaghetti!

Parker helped make banana muffins for breakfast one morning.

Savannah made delicious chocolate chip cookies. It was a great week, I'm so blessed to be so close and available to get to spend time with my sweet grandkids.

He is Risen

 He is Risen

Last year in conference, we were invited to make Easter more like Christmas and celebrate it more than just one day.  The church made an Easter Study schedule to help with this and we really enjoyed following it this year.  Our ward had 2 activities to encourage us to learn more about Holy Week  It was wonderful to spend time every day thinking about our Savior and all He's done for us.  I'm so grateful for Him!.

The last few years, I've done an Easter Scavenget hunt with the kids for their Easter basket  This year, the clues were from the scriptures about Holy Week. Ex. Matthew 26:36  Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane and saith unto the disciples, sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder. (CLUE find a statue of Jesus praying in Gethsemane) and the next clue was under the statue on my coffee table. Another one was Matthew 26:14 and Judas said, what will ye give me, and I will deliver im unto you?  And they covenanted with him for thirty peices of silver.  (CLUE where does Gram keep her purse with her money in it)   It was a good review of what they had been learning about during the last week.

We missed Jamie and his family who were on Spring Break in St George.

Taylorsville Temple

The Taylorsville Temple open house is coming us very soon.  We are getting so excited!

I got to go plant flowers in several of the flower beds, and was able to be an usher there twice for the open house.  That was really nice!

My best friend Carolyn's husband Don, did lots of work on the temple, and they invited us to go with their family to the "Sneak Peek" open house for the construction workers and their families.

Mike has been struggling with crazy dizziness, but felf good enough to go.  It was so fun to see the things Don and his guys worked on.  It is so beautiful!

I got to take my next door neighbor, Inger who belongs to the Salvation Army church.

Jordan's family came to see it and their kids were so reverent.

Our neighbors, Geisela and Jerry Smith who are not active came too.

I got to take Jaylena and Ila Fae to it the last week it was open.

The Layton Hills Temple open house was running at the same time so I invited my friend Joyce Billings who moved up to Clearfield to come.  She has been active off and on, but now isn't very healthy, so hasn't been to church in years.  She loved getting to see it.  Gaylene is my ministering sister and I invited her to join us.

We were able to attend the Taylorsville temple dedication at our stake center.  Elder Gong dedicated it, what a wonderful day.  2 days later, on June 4th I was able to work the first shift at the temple.  I was working in initiatory that day, and was able to perform the first initiatory in that temple.  Pretty cool!  I love serving in the temple.  Such a great priviledge and opportunity to be there every Tues. morning.

Uncle Bud was in town, and stayed with us for a few days.  I made an appointment for us to attend the temple together.  His closest temple is 2 1/2 hours away.  I can't even imagine.  We have been soooo blessed to always live near one.  Taylorsville temple is 3 minutes from my house if I hit all the lights green.

March Birthdays

Jack chose Panda Express for his birthday dinner.  He is such a fun kid, he never stops talking!

We celebrated the March Birthedays at our house on my birthday. Josh's family was in St George, but everyone else was able to come.  Jamie made us this gorgeous cake.   Emily's birthday is the week after, and we met the girls for lunch at a place called Fueled.  It was very tasty!

Boys first sewing project

Everytime I see Jack, he asks when the next boys sleepover is.  They love spending time together!

This time, they decided they wanted to do a sewing project. They made warm packs.

They really liked sewing!

Jack and Logan designed a crazy stuffed animal and sewed them.

We ended the sleepover by going and watching Parker play basketball.  So fun!
