In Feb. we started hearing more and more about this HORRIBLE virus that has been infecting the world called the Coronavirus or Covid 19. It started out with just a case or two,a couple of weeks ago, and yesterday, Utah had over 400 cases, and there are more than 74,000 cases in the US. It is spreading like wild fire and is very scarey. They have cancelled school, for 2 weeks so far, and just told us that for sure the kids won't be going back until at least May 1. Everyone is doing school online. Everything is closing down. We haven't had church for 2 weeks, the temples are all closed and most malls and stores are closed. Most people that can, are working from home. Restaurants can only do takeout, no dine in. It's CRAZY!
We had a little snow yesterday, so Mike and I had some fun and made a snowman.
They have asked everyone to STAY HOME! This virus is sooooo contagious! We took these Coronavirus Survival kits to our grandkids, since they are not supposed to leave home or play with neighbors.
I ran to the dollar store and found a bunch of fun stuff for the kids to do to keep them entertained.
The boys had fun decorating the planes and flying them
Jamie's family planted a garden inside, hat is already starting to sprout. They play outside alot!
Jordan's boys had fun building snowmen yesterday too!
Josh's kids have built some amazing forts in their basements
They have gone on hikes
Krista's girls made 3 snowmen yesterday and decorated their driveway today!
We are all trying to keep busy while staying at home.
JoAnn's craft store had kits to make medical masks that all the world is running short of.
I got enough to do 22 of them and enjoyed doing something that I hope will be useful to someone.
There is no elastic in the stores, because everyone is making these masks. We are now having to use ribbon, which isn't as easy to put on, but you do what you have to do in desperate times.
On Sunday, President Nelson has asked the world to join him in a special fast that they will be able to come up with a cure for this horrible virus. It has already killed thousands, and thousands more each day are becoming infected by it.
Thanks for sharing your upbeat fun ideas! You are amazing and I'm so glad you are my sister! SLY Rob
