One of Krista's friends stake in Midway was doing a service project where they collected and filled backpack for the needy for school. Krista wanted to participate, but we decided to donate them to kids a little closer to home. Lani found 10 backpacks at her work that had the old Logo on them and donated those for us to fill.
We headed to the store and got 10 of everything, notebooks. pencil boxes, binders, packs of crayons, markers, regular and colored pencils,and erasers.
Hailey, Sophie and Aida had fun filling the backpacks.
It was nice to think about helping those that don't have money to buy these things.
Here they are all ready to take them to the Road Home.
We dropped them off and hope the kids will enjoy their new backpacks. Krista is doing an awesome job of helping her kids feel empathy for those who don't have as much as we do.
