When Mike pulled back the carpet to have the fireplace guys install the fireplace, he noticed some moisture in the corner in our living room. Our roof had been leaking into our garage for the past few years when we had a ton of snow or a terrible rainstorm. Mike had tried to fix it a couple of times, but wasn't able to figure out the trouble. When it started leaking into the living room, we got a roof guy right over, and he said that it was in TERRIBLE shape! Not only did the shingles need to be replaced, but the wood too! YIKES, not our best day, but we were glad to find out before we put in the new floor. Friday morning a dumpster was delivered and the roofers started tearing off our old roof.
They arrived at 6:45 am
and didn't leave until about 8:30 pm. What a long day for those guys.
They got the old roof off, the new wood on and it covered with tar paper before it started to POUR DOWN RAIN! Luckily it didn't leak. Mike enjoyed kicking back and watching. He has worked SOOOO hard! They will be back on Tues to put on the shingles.
