Schools out and summer has officially begun for us. On Monday, the temperature here was in the 90's so we took Libbie and Katie to Grandma Cline's pool for a swim. Libbie is getting to be a great little swimmer, after a little practice, she was able to swim all the way across the pool. Katie is quite the little fish too, she is constantly ducking under the water and loves to jump into the pool.
Today, we invited the girls and their moms to come for the afternoon. They had a picnic on the picnic table under the swing set. Then they had a great time playing in the back yard.
If you look close, you can see them at the little picnic table eating lunch.
They really had fun!
We got them 4th of July outfits and took some pictures. This was the best of them all.
Here is a little better picture of Gabbie, you can't see her too well in the one with the girls.
How about those sunsuit legs, aren't they the cutest!!!
I love it when I can catch her smile!
The girls played in the sprinklers for a while and I couldn't believe they could all fit on the little teeter totter.
Before they left, we made a batch of big soft pretzels, they all helped measure and spread around the flour.
Then you roll them into long ropes and make them into whatever shape you want. They bake for 12 minutes.
Next you brush them with melted butter
and then sprinkle them with pretzel salt or cinnamon and sugar
Then the best part, that first bite
Ummmmm, ummmmm good!!!!
They were very tasty, great job ladies!
What a WONDERFUL start to Summer Vacation at your house! Way to go Grammy!
