This weekend, I did a girls retreat with Krista, Merijane, and Emily. We felt bad that Jamie was so far away, hopefully, she will be closer, the next time we do one. The 6 little girls stayed with their dads, and with the help of some friends and family, they survived pretty well. (Thanks, Lani, Kathy, Carissa, Mike, and Merijane's mom and dad) After unloading our stuff at Mom and Dad's condo, and putting away the 4th of July decorations, we got out the fall decorations, and had fun decorating.
After our decorating was done, we went to the St. George temple. It was very nice to be there with these cute girls. Then we did some shopping at the outlet mall, went to dinner at the Brick Oven, and home to read books and get ready for bed. Sat. morning, we got up and went for a run, we ran over 4 miles, I am great at walking, and fair at running. (the 3 girls ran the entire way, I took a few breaks to walk and then ran to catch up) We went swimming after the run, then off to a little more shopping. We came home and painted the cute pumpkins you can see above and below. We rented a fun chick flick that ended just in time for the General RS Conference. We all really enjoyed that!
The girls wanted to do a fun fall craft, we found these at the Wood Connection. First step, was to paint them all orange. (the tall pumpkins came in 3 pieces, that after painting, we glued together.
After painting them orange, you sand off the sides, and add a little stain.
Here's the finished product, didn't they turn out great!
Thanks mom and dad for letting us use your beautiful condo! We had such a great time!

ReplyDeleteLooks like so much fun! I wish I could have been there, but there's no way I could run 4 miles, so maybe it's good I missed out. Ha ha. Glad you guys had fun!
