He is Risen!

The last few years, our church leaders have been asking us to focus more on Easter than just one day.  They have given us sooooo many resources to make this happen.  We have loved spending holy week, reading about what went on each day.

Our ward did a passover dinner that was very cool.  When we arrived, the tables were all set and the passover food already on them.  The bishop gave a beautiful presentation about ech part of the dinner before we ate that part.

We did the story of the resurection with scriptures and symbols in each egg with our activity boys for them to take home and do with their families.  We have one little boy who is catholic, and goes to a catholic school.  He knew the story perfectly and shared the whole stroy, very impressive!
Then we made emptly tomb rolls.  They were so fun that I did them with some of my grandkids.

Saturday morning, I venmoed Tatia and Skyler money to buy the ingredients and sent them the recipe.  Tatia's kids made them Easter morning.

We did our Easter celebration with our family on Palm Sunday.  I did a scavenger hunt with scriptures again and this year gave them a beautiful Jesus puzzle and some treats to eat while they work on the puzzle.

I've loved my Easter decorations that focus on our Savior.  I am so grateful for His sacrifice for me!

My trip to Arizona

Last week I had a fun quick vacation to Arizona

.  We made an early morning trip to the Gilbert temple.  I couldn't believe how beautiful their flowers were in March!

Bonnie and I got to go see Anything Goes at Hale Theater

President Nelson has asked us to make Easter a special holiday by remembering our savior more. Bonnie found these at Hobby Lobby, but was pretty sure she could improve on them and she sure did!

Dennis cut out all these BEAUTIFUL sepulchers and Bonnie and I put them together and stained them.  We had such a great time thinking about our Savior and what he went through for us as we did it.

I LOVE mine!  We had fun delivering them to Bonnie's kids, She has such a great family.    After I got home, Mike and I delivered  them to our kids.  I love going to visit Bonnie, she makes everything so fun!

March/April birthdays

Emily, Jack and I all have March birthdays.  Jamie and Jordan invited us all over to celebrate.  We had a delicious taco bar and these amazing cakes that Jamie made.  She's to talented!

We took Jack out to lunch yesterday for his birthday.  He chose Super Chix, so yummy!
Emily's birthday was last week, but she had a knee replacement the day after, so we are hoping to celebrate this Thursday.

Gabbie is our only April birthday. I took her birthday shopping and she got some fun clothes then we picked up Mike and went to lunch at Zupas.  Such a fun day with our sweet Gabbie!

Valentines 2025

To avoid the crazy rush, we celebrated Valentines at Cheesecake Factory a few days before Valentines.

Hard to believe, I've been lucky enough to have Mike for my Valentine for 47 years.  He is such a kind man.  I don't think I've ever heard him say anything negative about anyone.  He doesn't feel very good most of the time, but seldom ever complains.  He is a great guy and I'm so blessed to have him in my life.

We delivered Valentines to our grandkids to let them know we LOVE them.

My new favorite hobby

I have quite a bit of spare time, and have started machine quilting quilts for the Humanitarian Center.  They have them all pieced together, so i just have to supply the batting and quilt them.

It has been so much fun!

They have all kinds of fabric, some cuter than others..   I love thinking of a sweet little baby being wrapped in them.  I have done 5 in the last few weeks and have really enjoyed having something to do.  Hard to believe that my old almost 50 year old Bernina is still humming along.

Mom's 90th birthday

On Feb. 12, my sweet mom would have turned 90 years old.  She's been gone 10 1/2 years and I sure miss her.  I wanted to do something to honor her, so I invited my siblings, and my kids and grandkids to go to the temple sometime during the month. She LOVED the temple.

Many of them were able to go and what a sweet experience to think of her whicle they were there.  Thanks everyone, I'm sure that made mom happy.

Lani and I loved being togerther at the temple!

A fun Valentine craft

A few weeks before Valentines, I found this fun craft at JoAnn's to do with Savvy and Zac.

They had lots of fun with it, so I decided to do it with some of my other favorite kids.

I stopped by Carissa's house on my way home from Jordan's and did it with Nora and Thea. A few days later, after going to the temple with Lani, I stopped and Emmy had fun making it into a garland.

I have these sweet girls in my neighborhood that are going to be moving.  They LOVED doing them and did all 10 of the different valentines

I invited my cousin Sandy's great grand kids who just moved to Midvale to come over and play.

I mailed a kit to Tatia to do with her sweet family.  Charlie is getting it all set up and ready to go.

Our Activity Day boys had a great time making them for everyone in their family.

Yesterday I went to visit Chandler and Tesa and their family in their new house and got to meet their tiny baby Wells.  Such a fun time visiting with so many people I love!
