Abbie and Molly

We have had so much fun with Abbie and Molly while their mom has been recuperating from having Kelsi.  They got to play with Hailey and Aida, go to dinner with Gigi, Robynn, Tatia, and PENNY, go to Libbie and Katie's house,  go swimming at Grandma Clines and lots of other fun things.  They are two of the very nicest little girls I know.  They are going to be great BIG sisters!!!  We met their other Grandma yesterday and she was going to take them home.

Can you believe this adorable little girl is already 6 years old?

She wanted to have everything rainbow, so Krista made rainbow cupcakes. she frosted them red, yellow, pink, green, purple, orange and blue, and put rainbows on top of them.  We had a fruit plate made like a rainbow, and a rainbow cake with 7 layers!

When you cut it, you could see all the layers, it was delicious!!!

These two have been best friends their whole lives!

They had a fun pinata 

and lots of presents!

I am the Light of the World

Tonight Mike and I had a great experience.  We were able to go to Thanksgiving Point Gardens and see an amazing display called I am the Light of the World, which is a collection of sculptures by Angela Johnson of Christ.

Merrilee Webb, an incredible musician,

and Kelly DeHaan a great LDS singer put on a program called "We Sing of Christ"

Angela has made all these beautiful sculptures, depicting Christ's life 

They are larger than life size

and so well done

This one of Christ walking on the water was AWESOME!

The spirit was so strong there, we really had a great time!

Molly and Abbie have been staying with us for the last few days.  We stopped by the hospital on our way to go swimming at Grandma Clines yesterday, and I took a picture of this cute family.

Kelsi is here!

Our 8th granddaughter Kelsi was born July 9, 2012 at 8:37 am weighing 6 lbs 13 oz.  She is just beautiful as you can see, with lots of very dark hair!!!           

     

Mike and I were her first visitors.  

I loved getting to hold her when she was just a few minutes old.

Molly and Abbie are thrilled to have a new baby sister!

Mom came to see her and is excited to welcome her 12th great granddaughter into our family.

Lani LOVES all her great nieces and nephews and continues to spoil them!

Tatia, Penny and Robynn were in town and came to visit as well.  All my granddaughters ADORE Penny!

This was my first glance at our tiny girl,  she is so sweet and we are so thrilled to have her in our family!  Welcome Kelsi!!!!!

Mom and Lani brought presents for Abbie and Molly as well as the baby.  As you can see, they love them!

Almost home!!!!

On our way home we went through Independence Missouri where my Aunt Darlene and Uncle David are serving a mission

Darlene is the secretary for the mission president and David is their financial guy.

They took us through their awesome visitors center.  The sister missionaries there do such a great job.

We got to see their beautiful new temple.

Then we went on a tour of Liberty Jail.

We spent the night at Darlene and David's cute house.  It was so much fun to see them!

Our last stop was my Aunt Jerry's house.  We have stayed with her many times, and always have such a great time.  She is the hostess with the mostess!  We played this new game that I can't wait to get and play with our family.

We got to see so many people we love and had such a WONDERFUL trip.  Thanks everyone for making it so fun!

Fun with Jamie and Jordan

We had such a fun time with Jamie and Jordan!  We got to watch a movie outside in their back yard. 

We listened to Jordan play the piano

Mom had a sewing machine that she inherited when her good friend died many years ago.  It had just been sitting in her basement. When Jamie was here in April she made some pillows and really enjoyed sewing.  Mom let me bring her the sewing machine and she is AMAZING!!! 

She made 5 BEAUTIFUL new pillows for her bed and drapes as well!

She has since made 5 more for her mom's bedroom.  

Jamie is a great little cook and we enjoyed lots of wonderful food while we were there.  Jordan has some great BBQ skills as well.

                                 They took us to Dentin Florida and we stayed at an awesome hotel.

They have THE MOST BEAUTIFUL beaches I have ever seen in my life.  The sand is like baby powder, so white and soft.

We went on a snorkeling trip and saw hermit crabs, a sea urchin, and swam with LOTS of cool fish.

Before we knew it, it was tine to say good bye!  We had such a great time and can't wait to come again!
