Last Friday, I was out walking with my friend Carolyn. I had kind of a stuffy nose and a raspy voice. She was giving a shower for one of the girls in our ward, and I was going to go home and bake some cookies for it. She said maybe since I had a cold, I shouldn't bake the cookies. I didn't feel terrible, but she suggested that I should take a Covid test. Krista's family had had Covid a couple of weeks before, so she brought me over a test. Much to my surprise, it was positive. Just the day before, I had spent the afternoon at Jordan's house playing with his kids. I had been to Gabbie's soccer game and then tended Jamie's kids while they celebrated their 16th year anniversary. YIKES! I just prayed I didn't spread it to all of them. I immediately headed to the basement, and spent the next few days down there, hoping not to give it to Mike. He has been so worried about getting it. Unfortunately, Saturday, he started not feeling great and also tested positive. I felt terrible to have given it to him, but at least I could come upstairs. Krista brought us over dinner twice, my friend Carolyn brought dinner and so did Lani. We were well taken care of. Since we have both had our vaccines and both boosters, I didn't get very sick at all. I enjoyed listening to several audio books and watched way to many Hallmark movies. Mike got it worse than I did, but not worse than lots of colds he's had in the past. We were both very blessed!
About a year ago, I painted the playroom tan. I was not happy with it as soon as I did it, but I hoped that it would grow on me. NOPE! I'm just finishing my quarantine with Covid, and decided to repaint it a light gray, which really brightened it up. I like it so much better!Yesterday I painted the walls going down our stairs gray to match the walls in our whole upstairs. It had been white before, and was fine, but this looks pretty nice! It was good to have a few projects while I was stuck at home.
