Grandma Cline was diagnosed with lung cancer almost 4 years ago. The doctors didn't think she would live more than about 6 months. She fooled them. Up until the last few months, she has done pretty well. She has been on oxygen, and HATED being "tethered" to it, but has been able to keep busy crocheting and working on her sudoku puzzles. She was such a talented lady. She made so many beautiful hand crocheted projects. She also made beautiful quilts. Probably the last 6 months, she hasn't been able to do much, so we would come over and clean her house, and do her shopping for her. About 3 weeks ago, she was getting so weak, that they had Hospice come in and check on her every few days. She was at the point, where she wanted someone to stay with her since she was afraid of falling. Mike and Steven have taken turns spending the days and nights there. Paula came and helped, last weekend when she was in town, and Mark came for a weekend and helped too.
She loved all her great grandkids.
I got pictures of all of them to put on a mother's day card for her.
She fought a good fight, but was more than ready to return home.
She was able to go in her sleep, just like she wanted.
We will miss you!
