Our family reunion began on Thurs. night at Falcon Park right by mom and dad's house. Pierce designed the fun shirts for all of us. He even put what number we are in the family.
We had a picnic of pulled pork sandwiches, chips, potato salad......
and Kathy and Ric's family brought all kinds of yummy ice cream bars for dessert.
The kiddios really loved the fancy popsicles!
Adalaide's first time to try a popsicle, I don't think it will be her last!
Robynn helped the kids make rockets to launch.
Then dad helped them launch them.
They all had such a great time shooting them off.
It was amazing how high they went.
It was so fun to visit with each other
The next morning we met bright and early at Kathy and Ric's church for a kid drop off so that the parents could go to the temple. There was quite a group that were able to go.
That night we went home and finished packing for our trip to Heber Valley Camp.
The next morning we met bright and early at Kathy and Ric's church for a kid drop off so that the parents could go to the temple. There was quite a group that were able to go. Ric, Kathy and all their kids were there. What a great day!
Robynn, Lani, Mike and I tended 15 cute little kids. Ric and Kathy's grandkids were tended by their other grandparents, so the 15 were just the Clines and Thiots.
The ward was nice enough to let us play with their toys in the nursery.
After everyone got back, it was off to McDonalds for lunch.
Here are the 2 latest additions to the family, born only 1 day apart, Jack and Oscar.
The kids had a great time playing at the playground there.
Then it was off to the great race! Morgan and Elycia were in charge and made it so fun.
The first stop was Macey's grocery store to get the next clue
Then it was off to Orem Library to take pictures with the stained glass windows there
Then last stop was a park on the way up the canyon. 3 members of the group had to do an obstacle course which included monkey bars, zipline,
and going down the twisty slide. So fun!!!!
We arrived shortly before 5:00 and got all our stuff moved in.
For dinner we roasted hot dogs, had chips, frog eye salad and of course s'mores for dessert.
It is so beautiful up there!
There was a nice fire-pit to roast the hot dogs and marshmallows.
Next it was off to the amphitheater for skits.
Lani and Krista were in charge of skit bags and breaking us into teams.
We have a lot of great actors in our family!
That night some of the family stayed up late around the campfire and had a great time talking, laughing and taking amazing glowstick pictures!
The next morning it was pancakes, bacon, sausage, juice and fruit, YUM!!!
These two little cuties were pretty good eaters!
Lani celebrated her birthday at camp. She is everyone's favorite aunt.
She is definitely the greatest of great aunts!!!
Notice the cool banner that Robynn had made to match all the awesome shirts, she made the transfers for.
After breakfast it was off to the lake.
Some of the family went off in canoes,
and others in paddle boats
Dad and Bud were the paddle boat boys!
There was a sandy area for the kids to play
They had all kinds of sand toys to keep them busy.
I think this is one of the most beautiful places around!
Then back to the camp for lunch. These little cousins had so much fun together!
These big cousins had some CRAZY games they were playing.
The wildest Frisbee game ever!!!
After lunch some of them went to a challenge course with zip-lines and all sorts of fun. Unfortunately, there wasn't time for all of them to get to do it. (and I didn't go, so no pictures)
Then it was time to pack up, clean up and head home. Even Kelsi was helping with the cleanup!
Before we left, I had to get a picture of the girls on the rock they had been climbing on.
The "Littles"
The "Middles"
and The "Big Girls"
At about 4:00, we headed for home to grab a few things and then off to Lani's church for delicious pizza and birthday cake. After that was the talent show. Believe me,
The Birks Family's Got Talent!!!!
Kathy and Emily organized it and Carissa was the MC.
Molly was the first and she did an amazing gymnastic performance.
Then Chandler did some juggling.
The Grange family circus was next with Penny the tight rope walker,
and Max the high jumper
Elycia did a monologue of Princess Bride, what a memory that girl has.
Then Adalaide did her standing on one hand trick.
Katie made a dog, giraffe, and a sword out of balloons
She is GOOD!
Hailey sang a song,
Logan, Jordan and Jamie did a sword fight on swings on video that we got to watch.
Chase started out like he was going to do the song from Napoleon Dynamite, and then all of the sudden, flew a tiny remote control plane. It was so cool!
Taylor stole the show with his comedy act. That kid is HILARIOUS!!!!
Keelie played the harmonica
Cierra played the guitar and she and Carissa sang
Abbie played a song on the piano
Libbie sang a song
and Hailey finished the talent show with a piano solo.
Wow!!!! The Birks Family's Got TALENT!!!
Emily made a bag of treats for everyone with this sweet thought about talents from Pres. Uchtdorf.
Sunday morning we were able to go to Carissa's missionary farewell.
She is leaving for Wichita Kansas in July and her Bishop was nice enough to let her have her farewell while so many of our family members were here.
Carissa gave a beautiful talk on the Atonement, she is going to be an amazing missionary!
What a great way to end our reunion.
Here is her beautiful family, (except little Lucy who was taking a nap)
and here's Lucy!
