Halloween 2014

Sunday night, we invited the kids for dinner and had them wear their costumes for our traditional Halloween picture.  Our bench is overflowing these days.  We had a yummy dinner then the girls decorated Halloween cookies that Jamie made.  After that, we had a scavenger hunt for Halloween treats.  Then we had a game of Halloween Bingo.  I finally figured out how to make everyone happy, whenever anyone got Bingo, everyone got a treat!  It worked, we went through a lot of candy, but there were no tears.  I had ordered some fun Halloween books from Aida's book order at school, so we played a little game where they each got to choose one.

Jamie made the most amazing Anna dress you have ever seen.  I am so sorry I didn't get a better picture of it.  She embroidered all around the bottom and on the front and it was incredible!  She also made the beautiful cape that she is wearing, as well as Josh's and Logans costumes.  (Logan's hat was made by one of her friends)  All the kids are going to look so cute on Halloween!

Krista's girls were Elsa, Anna and little Olaf

They went to Lani's work to a Halloween Party.

Another fun weekend with the grandkids

On Friday afternoon, I met Jamie to pick up Logan for a sleepover, she and Jordan were having a date night. Emily invited us to go to a pumpkin patch with her family.  They had also invited Krista's big girls, and Josh and Merijane and their girls.   It was lots of fun!

The kids each got to decorate a pumpkin

They had a petting zoo

and a fun pumpkin patch.

There was a huge corn pile where the kids could dig for little prizes.  They also had a hayride and apple launching.  They served hot dogs for dinner, a favorite of all the kids. What a fun night!

Saturday morning we went to Abbie and Molly's soccer game.  They both did great!

Molly was the goalie in her game.

The kids were good sports watching the game.

We took Jamie's girls home with us for a sleepover so their parents could have a date night.
The girls helped me make "pop-up" pancakes.

They like to add food coloring to make them fancy

and CRAZY!!!

Very yummy.

After breakfast, they played play dough during the morning session of conference.

For lunch we had Navajo Tacos, they made their scones into ghosts, spooky!

These girls are so sweet and such fun to have for sleepovers.
