This summer, since Jamie and Jordan weren't able to come, (they were just here in the Spring) and because we had two new babies, we decided to stay close to home. We went to the Spruces for a fun camp out. It was so beautiful and cool in the mountains, we loved being there.
We played games, Hailey brought Go Fish that was a hit with the girls!
The girls finger painted with shaving cream, (thanks for the fun idea Robynn)
We made jelly bean bracelets
Here's Aida modeling hers
The next morning while I took the girls on a walk around the camp, the boys made us a delicious breakfast of pancakes, bacon, and eggs on Matt's new camp stove.
It was very tasty!!!
After breakfast, the girls played in the dirt
and really enjoyed getting all dirty!
We made fancy pens with plumes, and Aida was one of the only ones strong enough to squeeze the craft glue.
If you look real close, the girls are holding up their pens, they used them when they were playing school.
We had this HUGE moose walk right behind our picnic table!
About noon, we headed for home to take showers and get cleaned up so we could all get together again for dinner and to go and see Annie that Taylorsville City was putting on. The play was darling, but LONG, it didn't start until 7:30 and by the time intermission came at 9:10, we told the girls it was over, and headed home.
Merijane and Gabbie before the play started.
On Sunday, we got together to celebrate Krista's birthday. Mom, Dad and Lani came over for dinner and we had fun visiting with them. (Oops, I forgot to take any pictures)
Monday morning, we headed with everyone to Planet Play, the greatest place on earth! The girls had more fun than I could have ever imagined!!!! We got there at 11:30 and didn't leave until 7:00. We ate lunch and dinner at their yummy all you can eat buffet. Grandpa Cline hadn't seen them for a while, so we invited him to come along.
They loved the tiny merry go round
Air hockey
Dinosaur ride
Jungle gym
TONS of arcade games
games you danced to
roller coaster simulation ride
Miniature golf
Gabbie is such a sweet girl! (we both look a little nervous)
There were little cars to drive
and bigger cars to drive
every kind of game you can imagine!!!!
Tiny Kelsi hardly even knew she had been there, she slept most of the day away. (I hope she slept last night)
Gabbie took several snoozes in her stroller, but she mostly watched what was going on.
The girls all adore her!
Libbie LOVED the bumper cars!
Katie LOVED the merry go round, it was not at all crowded, so they could do whatever they wanted as many times as they wanted!
The girls loved the CLAW, they never got a stuffed animal, although they tried, but they found the candy ones were lots more fun because they actually got something every time!
I can't tell you how many times these little girls came up and hugged me and said how much fun they were having. It was great to have all our kids and grandkids there, it was one of our best days EVER!!!!
