There's no place like home for the Holidays!

Aren't the holidays the best? I have my upstairs all
decorated and looking very festive. Lani and I went
to Mom's on Saturday, and got her house looking
beautiful too. Here are some pictures of my house
all decked out for Christmas.

I LOVE the new family pictures Stacy took and the
Beautiful new frames from the kids for Christmas!

Ho, Ho, Ho, Merry Christmas!

Christ is the reason for the season

Jamie and Jordan gave me the darling Christmas Carolers for Christmas last year.

Krista was so sweet to come and decorate my tree for me!

Happy Thanksgiving 2009

We had a really great Thanksgiving! We had 29 people, at our house, everyone brought something to help with the dinner and it was DELICIOUS! Lyndi and Stacy made rolls that were both amazing. We had yummy pies, and desserts, turkey with all the trimmings. salads, and everything else to make a feast. It's great to have so many people help!

A close up of Stacy's yummy rolls, she topped them with butter, garlic salt, seasoned salt, Italian seasoning, and parmesean cheese, some she even put mozzerella cheese inside. (below) Lyndi made orange rolls that were amazing too! (above)

Jamie and his family were there, but somehow I missed photographing them, so I had to add in a picture, so I wouldn't forget they came!

Chase and Morgan started the dinner off perfect with an announcement that they are engaged and getting married April 2, Congratulations!!!!

Thanksgiving Turkey Favors

I don't know how Robynn does it, but from 1200 miles away, she comes up with fun projects, and sends all the supplies for us to do them! Mom was in charge of her Daughters of the Pioneers luncheon, so Robynn made 25 darling little turkey favors for mom to give to all the ladies. After that, she sent a kit for us to make the little turkeys for our Thanksgiving dinner. She had everything cut out and ready to go,what a great gal!!!!!

Lani stopped by to help finish them up.

Here's a closeup of one of the little fellers, they still need their bow ties,(Robynn forgot to include those, but quickly put them in the mail the next day, so they will probably arrive today)
THANKS ROBYNN, YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!!

Preschool at Grammy's school

Every semester, my 8th graders learn about babysitting. We do a two day preschool where they can invite a little child age 3-5 to come. Since I have 2 adorable granddaughters that age, I invited them to come and they had so much fun. Libbie has preschool on Monday, so she came Tuesday, and Hailey has preschool on Tuesday, so she came Monday. They colored turkey feathers, and then played pin the feather on the turkey. They also colored a Thanksgiving matching game and had fun playing that too!

Aren't their necklaces fancy?

Here's how you make an Indian macaroni necklace

Singing time is lots of fun too! Those girls can really sing.

Thanks so much for coming!!!

Family pictures by Stacy and Pierce

I have been trying to find a time and place to take a family picture, since our last one is minus our 3 babies. The weather has gotten pretty cold, so I thought we were going to have to do them inside. Mike and I drove all over Salt Lake, trying to find a place to take them that was big enough to fit all 16 of us. We didn't have any luck, but the weather warmed up this week, and so when we heard it was going to be half way decent on Saturday, I made a few phone calls, and we planned to take them outside. Luckily for us, we have a nephew and niece, who are both starting a photography business. Chase had to work on Saturday, but Stacy was available, and willing to take our pictures. She was AWESOME, she had a great idea of a place in Lehi to take them, so we met her there, (we knew she had chosen the right place because there were tons of people taking pictures there, it was so fun) She took all kinds of pictures, big family, little families, all the granddaughters with the Mike and me, sisters, big 3, all the boys, all the girls, couples, and I'm sure several others. She took 1030 pictures, so we can't wait to see them! Pierce was her lovely assistant, who did all kinds of crazy things trying to get the attention of the little girls. Lani let the girls wear their Christmas sweaters she bought them, so they looked DARLING!!!! It did end up being colder than we thought, so all the little girls had red noses by the end. I hope none of them get sick. Stacy made it so fun for us, she did a GREAT job!!!! Thanks Stacy and Pierce!!!

Here are a few pictures I snapped right at the end of the photo shoot.

Krista and Matt with their girls

What a cute couple!

The girls enjoyed playing in the gravel.

Aida loves pulling Hailey's hair!

After pictures, we went out to eat and celebrate Merijane and Jamie's birthdays.

Tiny Abbie was so good the whole time, she didn't cry even once. (come to think of it, neither did the other two babies)

Josh, Merijane and Katie, with Jamie and Jordan in the background.

A time to give thanks!

We went off daylight savings time today, but unfortunately, my body did not, so I woke up at 4:00 am. I tried to go back to sleep, but finally at 5:00, I got up and took down my Halloween decorations and put up Thanksgiving. This is one of my very favorite holidays! I love thinking about all the things I am thankful for. Here are a few pictures of my house all ready for Thanksgiving!
